We came on a Sunday afternoon. Got the California burrito and chicken salad. I loved the burrito which had chicken tenders in it. I got the mild but the queso makes it more of a medium spice, really enjoyed it and it was very filling. The chicken salad was hot and my date really enjoyed it. Really fresh and tasty food. Neat atmosphere

I recently went to this location to experience it for the first time. I don’t mind using kiosk to place my orders, but I do prefer the face-to-face contact, especially since this is my first time and I had questions. The only option for the lunch hour today was using the kiosk to place my order.

I felt the wait to receive my food was longer than expected. Once I received my food, I took it outside to their shared patio with all the 505 central food hall locations. The patio was nice, clean and a great place to enjoy my lunch.

The chicken was absolutely fantastic. I got the three-piece and couldn’t even finish it because the pieces were so large. I also got one of their signature juice drinks and found it fantastic.

Let me tell you that I love french fries, french fries from all over, however, I feel the french fries fell short when they hey arrived cold.

I will definitely give this restaurant another try and hopefully have a five star visit

I’m really disappointed to be writing this review, especially because I tried to find a direct email on the website so I could address this privately, but I couldn’t find one.
This experience was at the Kukri Downtown location. I came in with my fiancé and our two young daughters (one is 4, the other just 2 months old). The cashier initially engaged with my older daughter about the chicken and fries, which made us feel welcomed. I ordered the 3-tender meal and specifically asked if one tender could be made plain for my daughter and the other two mild. I was told that was no problem.
I paid at 12:39 and provided both my name and phone number so I could receive a text when the order was ready. I was told it would take 5–10 minutes. We sat at a table nearby with a clear view of the counter in what was a semi-busy food hall.
I never heard my name called and never received a text message. About 15 minutes later, after my fiancé went to check on the order (since I was holding our newborn), he was told “sorry for the delay” and handed the food. When he returned, the fries were cold. At that point, I went to the counter—still holding my two-month-old—and calmly asked why the fries were cold, as I hadn’t been notified that the food was ready.
Instead of an explanation or acknowledgment that the notification process hadn’t been followed, I was met with immediate attitude. I was told they were cold because they had been “sitting there for so long.” When I explained that I signed up for text notifications and never received one—and that I never heard my name called—the employee rolled her eyes, laughed, and said they would “send the text now.”
That response felt incredibly belittling. Rather than taking responsibility for not calling my name or sending the message, I was spoken to as if this was my fault. When I asked why she was being rude, she said it was because I had been rude first, which genuinely confused me. I was simply asking about food I paid for and why I wasn’t notified in a busy food hall.
To add to the frustration, when we opened the food, all three tenders were coated in mild seasoning. The plain tender for my daughter was not made as requested.
I returned to my table feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable, and at 12:55—after the interaction—I finally received the text message saying my order was ready. At that point, the food had already been sitting out, and I didn’t even feel comfortable eating after how the situation was handled.
I’m honestly not sure what I did wrong. This entire situation happened because the process of calling names or sending text notifications wasn’t followed, and instead of that being acknowledged, I was made to feel small for asking a reasonable question.

I honestly feel like I wasted both time and money on an experience that completely killed my appetite. I didn’t eat the food, and I didn’t even feel comfortable going back up to the counter to ask for a box. The level of hostility over something as small as cold french fries was just too much for me.

Ordered chicken & waffles and the chicken was delicious. Waffles, not so much. They remined me of hotel lobby waffles. Not to mention they had no syrup and when I asked the manager if he had anything else or knew if any of the other restaurants may have something similar he suggested ranch. Ranch! With my waffle, no thanks! I was so disappointed. The other two guys working were nice and I like the food hall in general but I probably won’t be back here.

I love the food here but every time I go it takes so long to come out. The rest of my party usually has finished their food while I’m still waiting to get mine. The staff just seems like they don’t care if they’re dissatisfied with management.

I would NOT recommend this place unless you have lots of time and money to waste. It took over 50 minutes to get my order of 2 very average chicken strips and a small mac n cheese. Other people had been waiting longer. The ordering tablet was not working either. Only one gal was trying do everything during the Friday lunch rush. The other times I have got food here it took exceptionally long, but never 50 minutes. I wasted my entire lunch break waiting. And for $18.50 for such a small amount of average food, definitely NOT worth it.

tl;dr: One mistake on the weekend kinda ruined the appeal of this place for me.

I tried this place out for the second time on October 12th (Sunday) shortly after 6:15pm since the Korean BBQ Slider caught my interest (and there was a $2 coupon if I’m being honest).

First visit (9/28th) was pretty good. It was an online order and the only complaints I recall were of the loaded fries being too meat-heavy; me failing to realize 1) the banana pudding was a 2-server, and 2) it was gonna become too sweet by time I got to the last third.

Second visit is why the rating’s so low. I used the coupon after placing my order in-person and was asked by the cashier [M] if I wanted any additions. After requesting a quick listing, I picked cheese. Cheese would be good on a slider, right? I still don’t know because when I walked back in to see if it was ready, the tray of (2) sliders had no cheese on it. None. Nada. I paid for cheese and got nothing.
But why didn’t I just tell them they done goofed? Simple, I forgot about it.
But also because the realization only hit me when I was halfway through the second slider ( ‍♂️).

Clarifications:
Yeah, I tipped during both visits.
Yeah, I was masked both times before entering the building.
There’s a chance the other person [F] was mistaken when confirming that the one tray sitting out, bearing nothing but (2) sliders, was mine. There a chance that whoever made them just forgot the cheese. Then there’s the possibility that, let’s be honest, somebody had beef. In that case, I’ll just hope the missing cheese was the only thing wrong with my order that day. ‍♂️
I’m a dark-skinned Afro-American male, btw.

But how were the sliders sans cheese, though?
I recall enjoying them while simultaneously being annoyed by the meat consistently sliding around during each bite. Was pretty inconvenient and made me ~almost wish they had trimmed the parts that stick out too far.
Mightest well mention that I was surprised to see the bottom buns stuck together.

Having had real Nashville hot chicken, I can confidently say that this restaurant comes as close to it as it can get.

This restaurant makes their hot chicken, fresh, and it is well seasoned and juicy. You will not leave unsatisfied.

I also want to give a shout out to their incredible french fries. Even though they call them boring fries, they are everything but. I believe these must get double fried as these are some of the crispiest french fries you will ever have.

Overall an incredibly satisfying experience.

KūKri is absolutely amazing! Honestly I am shocked there are no really good pictures reviews on here yet! The service was friendly, and the food was honestly so flavorful and delicious. The sauces were a perfect combination of tangy/spicy and real hot. My husband loved the chicken! Overall fantastic place to eat located inside the 505! Definitely coming back.
