Likely the best restaurant experience we’ve ever had. Food was amazing, service was phenomenal, vibes were immaculate. As a queer couple, sometimes we feel out of place at fancy spots like this, but we never felt so at home as we did at Le Virtu. Spent $200 after tax and tip for 2 on Valentine’s Day and worth every penny. We’ll be back!

We’ve been here a few times and always enjoyed it, but our visit this Saturday was a bit disappointing. We came in expecting the 7-day happy hour advertised on the website, but our bartender told us it wasn’t available. She seemed bothered by the request. We ended up ordering from the regular menu and had a decent time, but the service definitely made us second-guess coming back. Hope they can clear up the menu confusion!

I had dinner at Le Virtù in South Philadelphia and it was an excellent experience for anyone who appreciates authentic regional Italian cuisine. The restaurant focuses on the rustic food traditions of Italy’s Abruzzo region, with a menu full of handmade pastas, house-cured meats, and hearty dishes inspired by mountain and coastal cooking.
I tried one of their house-made pasta dishes and it was fantastic—rich, flavorful, and clearly made from scratch. The ingredients tasted fresh and seasonal, and the flavors felt traditional rather than overly modern or complicated. The menu often highlights local farms and high-quality ingredients while staying true to Abruzzese “cucina povera,” a rustic style of cooking rooted in simple but deeply flavorful food.
The atmosphere is warm and rustic, like a classic Italian trattoria, and the service felt attentive and welcoming. Overall, Le Virtù is a great spot for a memorable Italian dinner in Philly, especially if you want something a little more authentic and regional than the typical Italian restaurant.

Food was great, it is pricey compared to portion – specifically the pasta. I do not recommend the half chicken, not sure what about it but it was not good.
the restaurant is very cozy and has nice atmosphere. Service was great.

I was here on Saturday night last week. We sat at the bar. I asked for the happy hour deals- the website clearly says “happy hour every day”. The bartender told me- there’s no happy hour on Saturday. I asked about the “City Wide Special”. She told me she could still do that, so I agreed.
She gave me the City Wide, but forgot the “special”. The “CWS” was $18 instead of $10. We had 3 of them.
The food was excellent. The food runner, host, manager- incredible and accommodating.
The bartender didn’t seem to care we were there. She went through all the paces but we felt like she were a burden for her.
Show me another place the city a bartender will tell you they can do a citywide special and then charge you $8 more for it.
We both have worked in luxury dining and felt the experience was way, way off.
I won’t sit at the bar again unless we have to.

Super lovely spot, especially on the patio! Had the arrosticini, the roasted eggplant triangoli, the saffron cavatelli, the zucchini sformato, and the mushroom side.
Really loved it all, but the eggplant triangoli and arrosticini were what stood out most of all. Both were really flavorful and nicely prepared. I’d still order all the dishes our group tried again.
They have a nice wine list and indoor seating available as well. The menu is a fun way to try some different Italian flavors from an often under represented region of the country when it comes to Italian restaurants in the states. Really nice menu!

Hyper-regional, real Italian food. Excellent drinks — I love the olive oil washed martini. Incredible fresh pastas and succulent meat cooked perfectly.
Really special dinner spot. The staff here are absolutely lovely people and make every visit feel warm. This has quickly become my favorite spot in the city.
