Ive been living in Bayonne over 6 years now and didn’t realize this Italian restaurant near my place. Had it I recently and the pasta is great. I had the rigatoni with meatballs and it was cooked well and the meat balls tasty.

Walked in around 5pm without a reservation and asked for a table for two. We were seated within minutes. Our host and waiter were fantastic. The food we ordered was delicious and came out at appropriate intervals. The drinks were perfectly made. Even though it got busy and tables were filling up with guests we were not rushed to settle the bill. A perfect dining experience.

Parking
It’s not easy to find a parking spot in the area. You might need to park a few blocks away so keep that in mind.
Reservations
They take reservations but I didn’t make one since I went on a Monday evening but there were only 2 available tables once I arrived so next time I will reserve.
Food
Food is DELICIOUS. They give a complimentary garlic bread which is great. Fried calamari and the 5 cheese pizza were also delicious. I was afraid the pizza was going to have a strong cheesy flavor but it was just like a cheesy margherita, I definitely recommend it.
Ambiance
It’s a small restaurant and when it’s crowded the acoustic is bad, it’s difficult to hear and have a conversation with someone across from you. This is the only thing I didn’t like about this place. Once some people left it got better. They had some ambiance music but you couldn’t hear anything, just people talking loud.
Price
Price is fair for the quality of the food. Make sure you ask for the drink menu, I have no idea why the waiter didn’t bring it along with the other menus once we arrived.

Finally made it to Cafe Bello. The food and drinks were delicious. The portions are great and the staff is very friendly. We got the bolognese and the chicken bosciaola. The prices are great and I loved the atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

A totally terrific restaurant! The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was both elegant and cheerful. The porcini papardelle combined both fresh and dried criminy mushrooms in a creamy but beefy sauce with fresh papardelle. Exquisite! My friends had beef bolognese with bucatini, and sausage and broccoli garlic sauced ear-shaped pasta (orichette?). Both were raved over. The wines were excellently paired, and the antipasto and desserts were similarly well prepared and delicious.

Love here! We passed by for the first time in 15 years. Food is as good as we remembered! The calamari was perfectly fried. Our favorite side Spinaci Saltati was remains the favorite. Of course all the other reviews have it right – authentic, welcoming atmosphere, classic white cloth service. Total gem.

really enjoyed everything, although we had reserved for two in advance, and upon arrival we were seated between two massive parties. Had to yell across the table to be heard by each other. Didn’t kill the night but it did dampen the experience.

Hidden gem in Bayonne. Went there with a party of 7 and every dish was DELICIOUS! We sat in the winter wonderland area and it was very comfortable. Elijah, helped us with our food order and he made us feel so comfortable. He has a pleasant disposition and was so kind in helping us take family photos. The food portions are large and plentiful and food flavors are robust. Will definitely visit again.
