Hey Philly, don’t sleep on the Drunken Hen. Located in the old Grey Lodge this place is a hidden gem! Probably the best burger in the area and definitely the best on the block! Small and run by the owners this place not only packs the flavor but packs the personality. People who care about their patrons and want nothing more but serve satisfying food.

As the name implies they have chicken and booze too but pernil, burgers, sandwiches and specials too.

Shop small, shop local and definitely check them out.

Great & friendly experience! Food here is amazingly delicious! The empanadas are my favorite! I will not eat them from anywhere else . They are so full with meat & the cheese just melts into your mouth with every bite . My daughter loves their smash burger! If you haven’t tried the food yet it’s a must try for yourself !

We went to a comedy show that mistakenly put the address of the drunken hen on their flyer, we knew ahead of time but wanted to give the place a try, anyway. The service & food was great. Thank you!

A new type of dive? In the cut, we almost missed it, but you shouldn’t! They were so welcoming here, and the decor is cute. The food was very good, we even tried a new item off the ‘specials’, fried buffalo chicken balls, which were good with the rich blue cheese dip. The chop salad and the outlaw fries were favorites as well, all delicious. Clearly the chef doesn’t play, and they said they do food trucks so look out.

I was passing through Northeast Philly and needed a bite to eat. I was happy to find this restaurant and order the cauliflower tacos plus a side of beans, which are vegan options. The host was very kind. The atmosphere was nice. The bathroom was clean. And I got exactly the take out I needed as I was passing through this part of the city.

I had the blackened fish tacos so fresh and delicious. We also had the beef empanadas, they were huge, filled and cheesy. The beef was nice and tender. The green sauce that came with the empanadas was really good. Definitely coming back to try more!

My family and I ate here today and honestly had such a good experience!! The owners are so sweet and accommodating! They gave us an order of loaded fries and desserts on the house which was so kind!! Everything was delicious and the portions were generous! Thank you so much Drunken Hen for making my mom’s birthday celebration memorable! We will definitely be back again!

Brand new and hitting it out of the park.
The outlaw fries were amazing. The pork was perfectly seasoned. The dish was so nice. The garlic didn’t overpower the dish. I loved it.

The drunken hen sandwich was perfectly cooked. I liked rounds of cheese, they melted into the sandwich and stayed soft.

The blackened fish tacos- very good. The mango was very fresh.

Cozy spot for comfort food! Drunken Hen Eatery did not miss! The empanadas were crispy and flavorful, the pernil platter was melt-in-your-mouth good, and those blackened fish tacos? Next level. Can’t wait for the cocktails!

I used to go there when it was called the Grey Lodge Pub! Went in for the first time yesterday since it’s been a new spot now called the Drunken Hen with my mom for an early mother’s day brunch with her and we enjoyed ourselves. Food was great, and the service given to us was excellent. We’ll definitely be back!!!!!!!…
