Wow! Incredible and Authentic and they do not take shortcuts; They are the Real Deal here!
We ordered Asada Tacos and Gorditas. They were Phenomenal! The Salsa had Incredible Flavor (Definitely Spicy) and the Chips were Perfect. Service was great and the staff was friendly. Small parking lot and entry into the lot was rough. We stopped here on our way home from Kalamazoo because of the 4.8 ⭐ Reviews and DO NOT REGRET IT! New #1 for Authentic Mexican Cuisine! They have been open for 7 months and have set the Bar really High.

Delicious and authentic Mexican food in Grand Rapids, MI. I loved their Al Pastor and homemade salsa’s. The Al Pastor is on a rotisserie! They get pretty busy so you know it’s good.

Best tacos, hands down. The flavor, the freshness, and the experience. Highly recommend. Tried it on a Wednesday when tacos are $2. Look at them, full of meat. This is the steak taco. That’s a good deal!

This was our first time here, and it felt like discovering a little corner of Mexico just a few towns over.

My husband ordered two marinated pork tacos, and I had two Gorditas: one with marinated pork and the other with shrimp. We both agreed the marinated pork was decent, but a little tougher and not quite as flavorful as versions we’ve had elsewhere. The shrimp, on the other hand, was absolutely delicious….so flavorful and perfectly cooked. For me, the shrimp gordita really stood out and exceeded my expectations.

This was my first time trying gorditas, and I was blown away by how satisfying they were. So packed with fresh ingredients, full of flavor, and very filling.

When we first walked in, the waitress who greeted us didn’t speak English, and the menu was mostly in Spanish. At first, I wasn’t sure how we’d order, but that actually made the place feel even more authentic. Luckily, the menu has tons of photos, which helped a lot. And another very kind waitress who spoke English came over and explained each dish I was pointing to in detail. She was so friendly and patient, which made the experience even better.

The restaurant itself feels casual, welcoming, and family-run, with food that’s clearly made with care.

If you’ve never had gorditas, I can’t recommend them enough. Go ahead and try them, especially the shrimp!

We got 2 to 3 different kind of tacos. They make their own corn shells, and they were excellent. We got the pastor, the Berria and the chorizo tacos. We loved them all, not sure if one was a favorite! The chunky salsa was delicious but quite hot. They also brought a red and green sauce that were not quite as hot. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back.

Perhaps the best tacos al pastor in town. If you dine in there is delicious molcajete salsa. If you do take out the stingy and rude service emerges. They won’t give you any of the good salsa that is just sitting out on the tables and even when you buy multiple tacos they won’t give you extra regular salsa without charging you. Imagine a hamburger joint that will only give you 2 ketchup packets even if you order four orders of fries!!! I can understand not giving away unlimited salsa but they are truly stingy. I run out of salsa every time I order more than two tacos to go.

Best tacos in GR. Well seasoned steak, hand made tortillas, 3 very good salsa options, they come with guacamole sauce and well priced at $3.75 each (as of winter 2025)!. They remind me of Tijuana style tacos I’ve had out in California.
