The Hidden Kitchen is a 100% gluten free cafe featuring mostly organic and locally sourced fare. We specialize in bioregional blue corn waffles and seasonal smoothies to satisfy a broad range of taste preferences. Our menu is simple yet the flavors extend beyond simplicity, adding lovely combinations of both bold and subtle tastes to excite the pallet. We exist to offer a healthy meeting place for our community to share in conversation, connect through experience, and gather around the one thing that has consistently brought many groups of people together: delicious food!

The Hidden Kitchen in Cayucos is the perfect spot for breakfast by the beach. Located right on Cayucos State Beach, this place serves some of the best waffles in Cayucos, along with amazing savory and sweet tacos. The vibe is lively and casual, full of people comparing orders and enjoying the California coast atmosphere. The food, service, and overall experience are excellent. It’s a little pricey, but absolutely worth it for the quality and beachside experience.

100% gluten free? I’d be in even if the food was mediocre. But there’s nothing mediocre about Hidden Kitchen. My favorite is the special, strawberry cheesecake waffle. It is absolutely decadent. But for my savory loving husband, the tacos are perfect. There’s plenty of outdoor dining, and a cozy indoor for those cold, foggy mornings.

Super special place we’ve been here 3 times and it doesn’t disappoint, don’t let the line fool you it moves really fast, be ready with your choices when it’s your turn and things keep moving, pets are welcome on the huge patio and I’ve never seen an unhappy customer. 4th time and it doesn’t get old such good service and yummy food I wanted to try something different but when I ordered my tummy ordered the Weirdo.

I have been here a few times with some friends and family! The food menu is so cool and unique, and the service is great! I always get a savory and sweet crepe and split them since the waffles are pretty big. The location is also great, as it is right next to the beach and pier! It is definitely on the pricier side, but totally worth it!

My wife and I have visited this place twice. On our first visit, we savored their famous blue corn waffle dishes in the morning. On our second visit, we indulged in their creative blue corn tacos in the afternoon. Both times, the food was simply delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the patio was a lovely spot to enjoy a meal on a cool, bright, and sunny day—which we had both days we visited.
