If you like fish fry’s and cheesecake, this is the place to go. Cheesecake is homemade and they have many flavors. Come early to avoid the big wait because it is a popular supper place for a reason. Staff was friendly and helpful. Price was $19.50 and soda was $2.

While skiing a local told about this place, it’s a lovely dive. Get there early and or call for a reservation. Prime rib Saturday nights with mushrooms onions and gorganglola was amazing, I’d skip the sides and just focus on that. Quarters for pool or games while you are waiting is a good idea. Drinks are dirt cheap. Love this place, already told my co workers about it.

I really enjoy coming here. Their food has been great every visit. The process of being seated and ordering your food is a little unusual here, but it works wonderfully. When you first arrive, you tell the bartender how many people in your group. The bartender gives you a number to place on the bar or table you temporarily sit. The waitress takes your order and you sit and enjoy a drink or two while your table and first course is prepared. Once the table and first course is ready, they will come get you to have a seat. It works very efficiently.

Fish fry heaven. They have a great system to get customers seated as quickly as possible. Enjoyed generous drinks at the bar while waiting. Walleye was excellent. All food was served hot and tasty.

The fish, fries and burger tasted like camp food. If I had a blind bite of the fish I would believe it was boxed fish sticks. The burger was SO charred and dry. The French fries looked great but tasted like the breading for onion rings with no onion inside, they didn’t taste like potato at all and when bit open you couldn’t see potato.
The staff was not at all rude, but we were worked through like cattle at auction.
HOWEVER, the cheesecake was absolutely awesome! We ordered multiple slices of the caramel apple and will probably stop by for cheesecake to go in the future.
There happened to be a hair in my coleslaw, didn’t really bother me I’m a farm girl. I picked it off and ate it. lol

This is always a great place to grab a drink or some food. I’ve always enjoyed my food there. The prices are reasonable and depending on the dish the serving sizes are good. I have seen some variety in how much you get for food amounts; on a recent visit one person in our group got some smaller shrimp, but another person got a gigantic steak! Might Be worth paying attention to what’s coming out of the kitchen while you are waiting to order with your Old Fashioned to make sure your order matches your appetite!

They have a good menu, a lot of choices, and something for everyone to eat. The staff is always friendly and the food is always good. I took my mom out to dinner and a show and let the staff know. They were very nice about getting our food to us quickly. Mom got the tenderloin and scallops, with cheesy hash browns. I got the king cut prime rib, baked potato, and sauteed onions.

The service, food, and atmosphere were excellent. The food was some of the best served in the wausau area. It’s truly a gem. Highly recommend stopping in. Perch meal and baked cod were delicious, as were our appetizers, clam strips, and cheese curds.

My husband and I went for steak tonight. He had the King Cut Prime Rib and I had the ribeye. The flavor of both steaks was absolutely phenomenal and prepared to perfection-by far the best we’ve had (and better than more expensive local restaurants/supper clubs). The prices were very good and steak portions were excellent. Drinks were also generous and very good! The staff was amazing; friendly and attentive. We can’t say enough about our experience tonight.
