Food was fresh and tasty. Utensils and condiments plenty. Great spot for Chinese take out. Cook is not heavy handed with soy sauce so it’s not crazy salty which me and my family love. I know some love the salty but for us it’s just right. Shrimp meifun was loaded with shrimp. Just big portions. Price is perfect for the food. Enjoy !!

Ordered twice from here yesterday small piece of chicken was bloody but left it alone again it was a small part…. Ordered the same thing today & this time the whole piece of chicken was bloody & uncooked. Called just to inform them & they apologized & asked if I wanted new chicken I declined & just told them to do better there’s no excuse for uncooked chicken. I have salmonella poisoning before & currently preggo so that would have been very bad

I didn’t normally leave reviews but honestly this one is a long time coming. Since we purchased our home in Woodbridge we made it our mission to find good Chinese food since we moved from Brooklyn, NY where honestly any food is amazing. We found this treasure and it’s been our favorite place… The staff especially the amazing delivery man he is already so happy and nice. Providing is with the best service. The food is amazing literally everything is great!

Unfortunately, when I receive this, the beef was unrecognizable. I’ve never had beef like this before and it is some kind of rubbery gelatin. Fried rice was a little bland.

I think this place is one of the best Chinese restaurants here. I ordered the shrimp mei fun and it was very good. It had a lot of flavor and it was hot. I recommend this place to anyone who wants some nice and delicious Chinese food.

Ordered for my family takeaway from around four miles away. The food came quickly, and was still hot! The Wonton Soup was absolutely delicious, especially when I added a little touch of Soy. The wontons were full of flavor and the broth had great depth. My son loved the General Tso’s chicken and I had a few pieces and felt the same way. My husband ordered the Spare Rib Combo and the Crab Rangoons for us to split and they were absolutely delicious. So full of cream cheese and delicious crab. The Small Spare Rib combo was extremely tender, and even good the next day for lunch. Lastly, the Moo Shu Pork I ordered was we packed with flavor and the pancakes was a generous serving amount. Overall, I highly reccomend. The workers were all extremely nice over the phone when I had a question, and the food ended up being even better. I usually don’t write reviews for restaurants but Hong Kong Star was the best asian food I’ve had in forever and will become a staple in my household. So delicious and will be recommending to everyone in central jersey area
