After living here for a bit, id never gone to McGills and I am so bummed I waited this long!the food was tasty and it had cozy diner vibes! My server Kirsten (or Kristen) was absolutely amazing, personable and just lovely! I got the Sausage gravy and homemade biscuits and potatoes and loved it! The biscuits were fluffy and the gravy was tasty! 10/10 recommend! Nice to have something so cozy and comforting in town! No wait to be seated and food was delivered impressively fast

McGill’s Café is a true Crested Butte breakfast classic. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was excellent.
We had the cinnamon roll, eggs Benedict, and corned beef hash — all three were delicious, hearty, and exactly what you want in a mountain-town breakfast. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and made with care.
It’s the kind of spot that feels both local and welcoming, the perfect way to start a day in Crested Butte. Highly recommend if you’re in town.

This was a good breakfast place but I wouldn’t say it was anything special. The atmosphere was good but I also wouldn’t recommend larger groups coming here because there is no space to sit large tables. My group had to sit separately which is fine, but just for reference it was 10 of us. I got a classic sausage ,hasbrown and egg meal with a pancake and again good but nothing special.

Perfect breakfast spot! Kay immediately sat us near the window and was quick with drinks and our order. She was so sweet and personable, which made the experience even better. The food was great and portion sizes were huge!

I’d go back but, first I’d have to tryout some of the other breakfast places in town. On the plus side the food was tasty and fresh. On the negative side, the service was slow, my food wasn’t hot and the restaurant was stuffy. My gf’s food was hot so maybe their timing off this time.

This is a busy place. We visited during the july 4th long weekend, it could be because of that. We ordered 3 egg omelette with hashbrowns & biscuit. It was good.
I had high hopes for the french toast but the blueberry compote was way too tangy & lemony that it dominated the whole thing, wouldn’t recommend that unless you’re a fan of sour desserts.

I love this diner. I visit CB every January and McGills is my last meal before I head home.
Great food at at great price. The owner is awesome.

Soooo, we will not be returning. When entering we asked if the wait was long and sat at the bar to avoid even more wait. Turns out that was the wrong call because even though we ordered almost right away tons of food came out before ours. We waited 45 minutes for our food. Thank goodness we asked it to be packed to go after a half hour because we had a meeting to get to.
Our server was incredibly nice, but obviously stressed. It was clear food was not coming out in order. And whatever manager was there was not that helpful I could tell. Even when we finally got our food the manager told our server to charge us for the ranch we ask for ($2 btw for a small ranch). It was right as we were headed out and the manager left to the back of the store when it happened making it impossible to reason with her. I felt that after so long of waiting and given the wrong impression about timing we should have been given some leniency. We paid before we even got the food so we could leave as soon as it arrived which is why the ranch wasn’t included. If we were able to eat at the restaurant like we wanted and our food came out on time of course we would pay for it like normal, but to throw that on us after bad service just as we are about to leave and not even mention once that you were sorry for the wait. Ridiculous.
Again our server was so sweet and did everything she could.
Also the amount of carrots was sad and disappointing. I love carrots and for the cost of these wings a decent amount is expected.

Hollywood
The staff was not very friendly. I’m not sure if it was because we were not locals or why they (both ladies behind the bar) had such a cold shoulder and came off short. They also rarely checked on us and when she brought more Splenda instead of being kind, handing it to us and smiling. She avoided eye contact and shoved it into the carrier. The food was pretty good though and the kitchen staff seemed nice. We ordered the classic eggs Benedict with avocado & the haystack. Will add pictures of food and receipt for others to see the pricing.

What a cute little spot! Our waitress was super nice and the food was awesome! The coffee was fresh and was delicious. The eggs Benedict had the best hollandaise sauce and the French toast was crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. They served it with real maple syrup! Def will be back!
