I highly recommend D Chill Spot. Their customer service is second to none. The food quality is consistently outstanding, exceeding my expectations every time. My favorite is the Curry chicken and Oxtails. But ! Everything is Great This is my go-to place for real Jamaican food the best in town.

D Chill Spot delivers an immaculately clean environment and true Jamaican vibes from the decor to the reggae music playing in the background. I visited on May 11th and ordered two fried chicken dishes. The chicken was seasoned to the bone, and the rice and peas had that perfect blend of coconut milk and spices. My mom, who’s visiting from Jamaica, gave it a 10/10 authentic and delicious! Big up the chef!

Just passing through Rocky Mount. Very glad to have come across DChill. Awesome food and Red Stripe! Made us want to head back to Treasure Beach. Service was friendly and timely, though we would have liked table service. Hope to stop in on our way back..You should definitely check it out!

Their new location is awesome and feeds great energy. 12 individuals, including myself, came in and had a fantastic meal. They handled the tables well and for a good number never had proper Jamaican food. I had the jerk chicken and it was falling off the bone good. I’m not even personally a strong cabbage or rice and beans fan and I couldn’t stay away from eating it. This is a great place and I will come back.

Stumbled upon D Chill Spot while passing through Rocky Mount and not wanting the usual boring fast food options—it is ABSOLUTELY worth the 5 minute drive away from the highway! The flavors took us right back to the islands, and the chicken sampler gave us the opportunity to try chicken three ways. Flavorful, fast, clean, and super friendly—you’ve got to give this spot a try!

This place is AMAZING! I have not had anything I did not like from this restaurant. Not everything is SPICY so if this is what is keeping you away, just ask, they will tell you. I LOVE their cabbage, the patties, the plantains and I could go on and on. The staff and owner are so nice and happy. Good leadership starts at the top and it is demonstrated here. The restaurant is clean and as soon as you walk in you are entranced with the island vibes so go check them out lunch or dinner or go for lunch and grab something different for dinner, you can’t go wrong. I am definitely going back soon…real soon.

I’ve eaten here four times, and they’ve been great every time! One of those times was dine in, and I’ve gone back three times since! Worth every bite, and I’d say cost efficient for what you get. All around disappointing. Tried to give them a second chance as a Jamaican myself. But their food like their attitude is TOUGH & SALTY. the owner who so proudly and narcissistically pointed to his name on the wall at the entrance tried to intimidate me physically when I simply and professionally gave him the feedback he asked for. He started screaming and pointing and following me even asI tried to leave. Saying the “customer is not always right” and “this is why we have cameras “. For your safety, esp ladies, do not go here!! The man is a giant and cares nothing about personal space! The treatment of paying customers for the overpriced food is not worth it!!!! Look at his responses to previous poor reviews. Be weary of eating food made by evil spirits.
P.S. stop adding beef to that salty oxtail plate!
