First time at Café Emilia and it was a great spontaneous stop on my way back to NJ. The place is cozy, nicely decorated, and the service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, like a local favorite. The menu is small but well thought out. The food was good, though a bit pricey for the portion size, and the Caesar salad lettuce wasn’t very fresh. Overall, lovely café with great service and definitely worth checking out.

This is the place that you probably drive by 100 maybe 1000 times but never go in. But you must. The atmosphere. Service and the food and drinks are all incredible. I’ve been here twice. And my favorite waiter is Facundo who is the epitome of class attentiveness, and service. I got the chicken Parmigiana the first time. And it was awesome. I got the eggplant parmigiana the next time and it was the best I’ve ever had. It was perfect all around. Stop in you won’t regret it.

I’m disappointed in myself for driving past this restaurant several times and not realizing what I was missing.

You enter a modest, warm and inviting space and you are greeted by their professional and friendly staff.

They have a specialty cocktail menu with amazing choices that you just don’t see in your local spots. And they do the classics perfectly, the Espresso Martini was silky, creamy and full of flavor.

The service and the pacing of the evening was perfect. The food was incredible. I ordered the Veal Chop special, my wife ordered the Chicken Giordano, our friends ordered the Steak Special and the Chicken Special with Crab Meat. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted even better than it looked.

Desserts were also amazing. The Tiramisu was perfectly moist and not soggy. We split the chocolate hazelnut cake and it was so tempting that it lost a limb before I got to take a photo. Definitely a must try.

Even though it’s a smaller space, we never felt rushed, as if they wanted to turn the table. The staff and owners were extremely inviting, they thanked us repeatedly and invited us back.

The warmer weather is almost upon us and they have a beautiful outdoor area for dining al fresco. Can’t wait to try it.

I know one thing for sure, the next time I pass this place I’ll either be pulling into the parking lot or calling to make a future reservation. Absolutely fantastic.

I had a date night with my girlfriend at cafe Emilia. Food is average, but towards the end the staff wasn’t very pleasant. They seem like they over book their restaurant to try and maximize their profit. I had a reservation for 7:00pm. We didnt get seated until around 7:15 which is fine. We were put in a corner table where people walking back and forth kept bumping into us. At the end I ordered a cappuccino and they gave me the bill and I tipped 20%. I wouldn’t have tipped 20% if I knew that 45 minutes into my dinner I wouldn’t be told by the water “can you finish your cappuccino at the bar I need this table”. This is extremely unprofessional and we were the table in their for the shortest amount of time. There was a couple sitting behind us who was there before we even got there and they weren’t asked to leave. Did you guys decide “let’s pick on the young couple” and tell me to move or leave? I made my reservation, I paid for my dinner, and i got asked to leave the table in which I was sat at for maybe 45 minutes. If I knew that was going to happen I would’ve never tipped at all. I hope you enjoy the $ I tipped and paid for dinner. I will not be coming back here. I could get the same service at a McDonald’s and pay $100+ less.

I went here with my husband on New Year’s Eve. There was ample parking. The place was pretty busy, which is always a good sign. The food was great, he ordered the halibut and I ordered the lamb shank. Both dishes had good portions. They also had a rolling tray desserts, featuring many slices of cakes.

One thing I wanted to point out was the service was absolutely phenomenal! Everyone from the check in person, the waitstaff, even the people who filled our water glasses, every single person was friendly and very hospitable! We deeply appreciated our time here!

We tried this local restaurant over the weekend and, unfortunately, the highlights were limited to the outdoor seating and the owner himself.

The owner was incredibly friendly and charismatic, personally visiting each table and offering a digestivo after the meal — a really nice touch that stood out. The outdoor seating was also well done and made for a relaxing atmosphere.

Sadly, the food didn’t quite live up to the expectations set by the menu. Dishes that sounded exciting ended up being underwhelming in flavor. The fish special with crab, for example, was very minimal in presentation and accompaniments, yet carried a premium price tag. The chicken Parmigiana didn’t come with any pasta, which felt a bit off for such a classic dish.

Service was another area that missed the mark. While our server was friendly, they were often absent and a bit forgetful. After taking our drink order, we had to flag them down to place our food order, despite them passing our table multiple times — and it wasn’t a busy evening.

We genuinely enjoy supporting local spots and had high hopes based on the warm hospitality and setting, but unfortunately, the overall experience just didn’t come together for us this time.

My parents and I come here with my grandparents each year and every time I’m astonished by their attentive service and caring personalities! There’s lots of charisma in this environment. They make you feel like family and the food is amazing as well. Reasonably priced for a fine-dining, 5 star experience. A gem. (All the staff are very humorous too, always a plus)

In town on business and really wanted to find an authentic Italian spot to enjoy while in NJ. Cafe Emilia was absolute perfection! It is an adorable little restaurant and is decorated beautifully for the holidays. Tony and the entire staff were excellent, made us feel right at home. The food was so good! I had a pasta special with homemade fettuccine, the Caesar dressing was excellent and my colleague got the rigatoni with mushrooms. Will dine here every time I come to town. Thank you for a great experience!

New favorite restaurant!
We hosted a customer for dinner and couldn’t have asked for a better evening. The staff was friendly and welcoming, never rushing us and paced the meal perfectly.
We enjoyed each of our dishes from appetizers all the way to dessert. Presentation was amazing and the atmosphere really made us feel like we were at home. The space was cozy making it easy to converse and yet we didn’t feel crowded. We will definitely be back!
