Love this cafe! The atmosphere here was warm and cozy. Chocolate drinks were great, and regular coffee was also good.

I like this place so much that I’m going to verbatim post the review that the employees here suggested because I think it’s accurate: the baristas are awesome, especially the ones with the colored hair. Service is always so wonderful. They do, however, need to get a hook in the bathroom to hang a jacket. And maybe do a better job keeping the paper towels topped off. Love you guys.

This is my #1 coffee shop in Decatur. I have loved since my first visit which was almost two years ago. I come here very often. The hot drinks are my go. Chai Lattes are always yummy. I got mine extra spiced and they make it so perfectly
Desserts are so so good. My weakness is their Tiramisu
Service is quick and friendly.
Atmosphere is clean, music plays softly in the background.

Got the dark white mocha, hot, with whipped cream. So good! Wasn’t too sweet and wasn’t too chocolatey. The employee behind the register was so sweet and patient, I was taking way too long to order. Highly recommend!

SAM’s CLUB DESSERTS? REALLY? $7.5 for 20 Oz Ice Latte? The beans were roasted so much. I am sorry but it was one of the worst coffee experiences I got. Additionally, are you seriously getting your desserts from Sam’s club? Those cupcakes and individual cheese cakes are sold in Sam’s club!

2/19/2026: I ordered a lavender matcha latte which was lacking in quality. I also inquired about a large happy hour sign situated outside the shop stating it ended at 6pm. I was at the shop a little after four and the answer I received was that it’s an old promotion when the store used to close at five. The service was subpar along with the environment.

I ordered a mocha coffee today but unfortunately they just add milk and chocolate and forgot the shot of expresso. I called and they ask me to return but I couldn’t as Im at work and I didn’t want to take another 20 min of my day.
I took the picture when I ordered my coffee but unfortunately when I opened my coffee half of the milk steamed milk was gone.
They mentioned the shot of coffee was added but that its not the case I drink coffee every day and I know how does coffee taste.
I would just like a refund. My coffee went straight to the trash as it was no drinkable as it just taste like sugar without coffee.

Spotted by this cute local coffee shop that was close by. They have a decently sized menu with a lot of dessert type drinks. The staff was super friendly and sociable! I’d love to come by more and try more drinks. Unfortunately when I was there, they ran out of vanilla and lavender, which was okay. I wound up picking a spiced chai latte! They had good spice flavor; she mentioned having cardamom, ginger, and clove. I wish it were spicier but it was my first time! They definitely take customizations; it’s a small shop with loving regulars. Inside, there’s a lot of chairs and tables. They also have a reward program with your number but there’s some stipulations about it on the board. There’s plenty of parking in the plaza too!

I visited ChocoLaté Coffee while passing through town and had an overall mixed experience. The service was okay and the atmosphere was fine, but neither really stood out. Unfortunately, the prices felt far too high for the quality offered.
I was especially disappointed with the coffee. I paid around $6–$7 for a small cup, and it simply wasn’t good. I didn’t even finish it, which is very unusual for me. I ended up throwing it out. For that price point, I expected much better.
This might work for others, but based on my experience, it wasn’t worth the cost.

ChocoLaté surpassed my expectations. It’s in a not so amazing strip mall plaza thing, but the inside of the coffee shop has a cozy vibe, and is quite spacious.
Also, the staff was super friendly, and recommended something really special when I asked what they’d suggest. Definitely a spot for dessert kind of coffee drinks, but I’d absolutely recommend. Go with the (sorta) secret menu item: blended cookies and cream with a coffee base, instead of milk base. It’s pretty fantastic.
