UPDATE/RESPONSE: we got no food menu, only a tea menu.

The waitress did not ask if we wanted the full high tea service or the lunch option nor did she explain well what it was we were being served. We were not offered water and rarely checked on. The small bowl of soup was served with a very small spoon. The bread on the egg salad and ham sandwiches was slightly stale. They automatically added a tip and charge you more if you use a debit card. I guess there was supposed to be a scone, but it was more like a dry biscuit. The pecan tea was good. To ask $30 for this poor high tea service is ridiculous. And now the price is going up to $35. Save your money folks.

I cannot possibly express how much of a gem this tea room is. I was surprised with a date night here and it felt nothing short of magical. Entering the Reed Opera House in itself is an adventure but you are truly transported in this space. The atmosphere and attention to detail shine. From the twinkling lights above to the stunning mismatched china. Every bit as delicious as the tea and food selection. The food was incredibly fresh and made with care. The owner and chef even went above and beyond accommodating a shellfish allergy with the most scrumptious quail deviled eggs. A magical pairing to a magical spread. The tea selection was ample and delightful. The toasted coconut was devine. The staff were warm and welcoming and truly made us feel at ease and encouraged us to enjoy and take our time. I will be dreaming of this experience for some time to come. Thank you “Let Them Eat Cake” !

Fun whimsical themed tea room. Table clothes and cloth napkins. Mix and match china sets. Service was very friendly. Although the offerings for those of us with food allergies are limited. They did try to accommodate if possible. But it was a little disappointing to see a lovely spread and most of it I couldn’t have. Expected for one kind of sandwich that I got extra of so I could have something, was very kind. I got an extra piece of cake cause I can’t have the custards and other desserts. So the food I had was ok. I didn’t enjoy the scones, in my opinion was more like a dry biscuit. The cake was also dry for my taste. I enjoyed the tea flavors, Snickerdoodle, Book Shop, and Sugar Plum. Afternoon tea was $37 per person. FYI, If you pay with a card there’s an extra fee.

Such a beautiful teahouse! This spot is in the basement of The Reed so it’s easy to miss, but let me tell you.. you don’t want to miss it! The atmosphere is so whimsical and feminine and would be fun for all ages. The food and tea were excellent and can rival any teahouse I’ve been to across the world. What really made this experience even more over the top was the amazing staff. Both the owner and our server were kind and friendly and genuinely seemed like they were enjoying conversation with their guests. The experience overall was well worth the reasonable $30 spent. Grab all the ladies in your life and go down and support this new local business. You won’t regret it!

We went to the tearoom to celebrate our anniversary. It was wonderful! The server talked to us about the menu offerings and the separate tea menu (there is quite a variety). Soup was Monte Cristo, a creamy soup with ham and vegetables. The tea service included cucumber sandwiches, sausage rolls, two scones with jam and clotted cream, and two desserts, a lemon-berry concoction and a cake. All was delicious—in fact, since it was the end of the day, we were offered the remaining soup to take home. It was a great experience and we will be back.

Very unique experience! I didn’t know what to expect from a new business. I was extremely surprised & comfortable. The tea, soup & food came staggered & we didn’t feel rushed which was so amazing, we got to enjoy every part of the meal. Everything was delicious the place is beautiful! It is a little warm down there so come in layers, they do have fans which was cute and beneficial! Can’t wait to go again ❤️

We made reservations for tea. Reservations do need to be made, as I’m sure preping for high tea is extensive. Everything was delightful! The food was delicious, however I only wish there had been more . The owner put her spin on the tea sandwiches and it was truly lovely.
I think she would do well to offer walk-ins a pot of tea and scones, but that’s just my thought.

I quite thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was taken here as a unique treat. However, due to the $30 cost per person plus 20% gratuity, it isn’t something I would choose to do on my own. It is, however, a wonderful alternative for a special afternoon or a fun occasion for a ladies afternoon out, baby/bridal shower, or a birthday celebration. The hostess is very accommodating.

Our hostess and server both provided me with a warm, welcome atmosphere and both had a very funny sense of humor. They were full of information.

The tea selection was lovely! Lots of unique teas to choose from.
The table settings – the pretty cups and teapots, the overall decor, the linens and floral cloth napkins, the pink chandeliers – what a charming place for afternoon tea! Lots of tables for two, with some larger tables for four.

I loved the soup, the bread selection, and the scone. I enjoyed the sausage roll with mustard – it reminded me of working in an English tearoom when I was in my teens.
The other three sandwiches and the two sweets were, however, a bit lost on me I’m afraid. I have never been a salmon or chicken salad lover. But that’s just my ‘druthers’, as my aunt would have said; it’s no fault of the cook! (Everything was so fresh, by the way! No complaints!)
The maple apple pie was delicious, and the little French creme was tangy and refreshing.
The main thing that I would request were I to go on my own would be a little chocolate something or other; then again, I am a confessed chocoholic.

Reminder: This is in the basement of the Reed Opera House, and just outside of this tea room another business with a bar operates – it has a humongous television that I found to be VERY annoying in the background. The other business, however, did have the noise down extremely low. The other shops around this tearoom were also very quiet and, if open, worth checking out.

Lovely, cheerful, and relaxing experience. Reservation only which we booked by texting the phone number posted on their Instagram post. Atmosphere is perfect for two with plenty of seating, but also had groups of 3 or more accommodated while we were there. Had the Magical Butterfly Sweet Pea Flower Tea and Porch Sippin’ Pecan Praline. Soup, sandwiches, and desserts were delightful.
