We were told this place had the best catfish in town – they were right! Fantastic flavor, fantastic coating! Came to the table so hot we had to let it cold down before we ate. To me that’s the only way to serve fried food! 🙂 fried green tomatoes very nice, and the fried green beans were good also. Good service too!

I had the grilled pork chops. The dominant flavor was “charred grill mark”. With a little BBQ sauce, the chops were decent. My companion had the chicken and steak. The steak was cooked correctly, but was just a poor cut of meat. The steak seemed like it should have been turned into a chop steak.

There was literally one waitress, who did a fantastic job in light of everything she was trying to do. My menu and my companion’s menu had different items scratched out with a permanent marker. They were out of baked potatoes.

There is a lot of promise here, and the waitress was very friendly. A little bit more in the execution department would go a long way.

It’s a nice, casual, family homestyle restaurant. I love their fried chicken & mashed potatoes. Another person in our party ordered a sirloin and she said it was really good too. I also like that they have entertainers there, and karaoke on Friday nights. We have found the food and service excellent. I would like to see their dessert menu expanded, and printed. I had the peach cobbler, and the peaches tasted canned, and there was not much sweet taste. The turtle brownie is quite good.

We had outstanding service! Our server brought out baked apples for my son to try because my son wasn’t sure if he would like them or not. Good American food with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

There are days when I rate this place a 5 when my order is brought out correctly. However, I have had to send my steaks back more times than not because they overcooked, dry. The waitress makes terrible drinks.

Review of Cornerstone Grill’s Lunch
By: Live in Oldham County

I had the pleasure of returning to Cornerstone Grill after I enjoyed a wonderful Brunch experience a few weeks ago. I thought I would switch things up and try out their lunch menu- and I was not disappointed!

Fast-Friendly Service
I brought along my trusty co-worker, who loves food almost as much as I do to help with my review. We were seated and our drinks arrived within 2 minutes. Our server was friendly, fast and efficient. In fact, it seemed that the whole staff was working as a team to help each other out- checking on tables, refilling drinks, making sure all customers were happy and satisfied with their experiences. I am very impressed with the wait staff.

Onto the Food
We decided to start with an appetizer…. or two. We couldn’t decide between the potato skins and the fried pepper jack cheese balls so we ordered both! We received large portions of both and we loved them! The cheese balls came with a dipping sauce which was very pleasant and the potato skins came with healthy portions of sour cream- so if you are not a fan, ask for the potato skins sans sour cream. We probably should have stopped there, but our lunch looked too delicious to pass up.

I ordered the Fried Cod Fish Sandwich and my co-worker ordered the famous and highly recommended Kickin’ Chicken Sandwich. First, let me say that if you are a fan of crinkle french fries, Cornerstone Grill is the place to go. Our plates were filled with french fries and our sandwiches looked delicious. I tried to remember to take a picture of our food before we started devouring it, but easier said than done. The chicken sandwich was juicy and tender and had the promised “kick” with a little bit of ranch to cool things down. The fish sandwich could have been a little crispier but it had great flavor and the tarter sauce was delicious!

Side note: We got a call from the big boss while we were out to lunch and a chicken sandwich to go was requested. The food kept very well and she gave it raving reviews even though it was a “to-go” sandwich.

Local Favorite
I enjoyed my experience so much that I made plans to come back on a Monday evening to enjoy their famous “burger night special.” I can see why this spot is such a local favorite. The wait staff is friendly and work as a team to provide the best experience. Your food comes quickly and tastes absolutely delicious- I would recommend the Kickin’ Chicken sandwich in a heartbeat! And I love to support local restaurants. There is something about knowing the restaurant owner and supporting their dream that makes my experience so much more enjoyable.

Until next time, shop eat drink and live local.

Glad to see a restaurant close by. Went in and sat for about 20 minutes while they looked at us. 2 other tables with customers in the restaurant. We asked for service and they said we will be with you in a minute. Several minutes later they finally came by. It was very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The food was not great and not hot. As we were there I guess some regulars came in and were treated like royalty??? Will not ge going back. Seems like they would of been greatful to have new customers.

Every person with any knowledge of how to run a restaurant has left. What you are left with is a bald, chubby man with a blank look on his face wandering around the kitchen. He seems to have no idea how to cook for more than one ticket at a time. We ordered a hamburger, it took an hour to get it. This would be on thing if it was food worth waiting for. It’s not.

Hidden sports bar for the Crestwood/Buckner area. Reasonably priced burger/bar menu in a family run atmosphere. Two dining rooms with plenty of televisions for sports.
