12/2/25 Taco Tuesday 2/$13 (chicken/beef/ham) I ordered 2, cud only eat one. Delicious and filling. Service very good.
5/16/25 I had one of the best bacon double cheeseburgers. The fresh hamburger tasted excellent as did the toasted bun. My wife’s chicken salad was great too except for the amount of fries on top. Five! Five fries…
2023 Fish special was good. Crab cakes were just OK

As judge of the best pizza in the ‘County-Seat’, you will enjoy Clark Powell’s excellent thin crust pie. The burgers, wraps, wings, and salads are delicious. Hey, don’t just take my word- get to Clark Powell’s and savior for yourself- God bless!

It was a busy Friday night when we went, so we did have to wait to be seated about 15 minutes which was fine. Once we were seated and finly gave our order, it took almost 45 minutes to get our appetizer. Food was over an hour. As I said, it was Friday- but I still thought that was quite long. Our waiter was hard to get when needed too. The food was rather good though. The pizza my husband ordered, was fabulous ( I stole a small piece ). I had the shrimp on special with the perogi lasagna which was very good as well. This was our first visit here, but we will come again to see if the service is better. Prices are pretty good- average for bar & grill.

Clark Powell’s Restaurant is a true gem in Ebensburg, and one of the many reasons why is their incredible gobs. For those who might not know, gobs have a long and cherished history in Western Pennsylvania. Often compared to whoopie pies, they were traditionally made in coal mining towns as a hearty, portable dessert for lunch buckets. Over the decades, gobs have become a symbol of comfort and nostalgia… something that ties generations together through both flavor and tradition.
At Clark Powell’s, the gobs are nothing short of unbelievable. They taste just like the ones I grew up with, especially the ones my Grandma Gironda used to make. The cake is soft, moist, and rich, while the filling is smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced… not too sweet, not too heavy. Every bite takes me back to family gatherings and Sunday dinners, where gobs were always the treat everyone looked forward to. It’s clear that Clark Powell’s has mastered the art of keeping this local tradition alive, while maintaining that homemade touch that makes it so special.
Beyond the gobs, the restaurant itself is a welcoming place. The staff are attentive, friendly, and helpful, creating an atmosphere where you feel like more than just a customer… you feel like family. Their hospitality, combined with outstanding pizza and desserts, makes every visit worthwhile.
If you’re in Ebensburg or anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop at Clark Powell’s near the courthouse. The food is excellent, the beer is cold, the staff is outstanding, and the gobs alone are worth the trip. It’s a true taste of local history, tradition, and brings back great memories.

I enjoy the atmosphere and the food. Service was a little slow, and there were only two other filled tables. The pizza is very good. They have a build your own Stromboli option. The bar area looks nice.

Visibly unclean kitchen. Server saw a chip fall off the plate, onto the table, and used her bare hand to put it back. Also had her thumbs on every plate. Flies also enjoyed my food. Place needs a deep clean

Unfortunately I have been very disappointed the last two times we have been in. We used to come here weekly and the quality of the food has gone down hill in my opinion. The pizza here has been my favorite since I have been a child. Now the pizza is not consistent at all and looks like it is thrown together and the crust is thick in places and thin in others. My wife’s steak salad was full of fat on the steak, a little bit of trimming goes a long way. This place is busy every time I’m in and it could be I just like things to be consistent. I understand employees change, people don’t want to work or work hard, but things are getting out of hand. It is unfortunate but it is hard to spend money on sub par food.

I can’t speak for the bar but I went here twice for lunch. The pizza buffet is decent but of good variety. I enjoyed the “Hot Turkey” the first time I went and I am glad I got that instead of the buffet. The food is heavy so if you don’t like buffets or food covered in gravy, then this probably isn’t for you. The staff is super friendly too.
