We haven’t been here in a very long time. It’s obviously changed. First the venue is nice. A little dated but still. The restaurant is upstairs and it’s a hike if you don’t valet. The restaurant itself was kind of dark and could use a good dusting. Everything we ordered was very good. The drinks are standard bar mix and just ok. The pasta was excellent and the chef is creative with the different entrees. We also ordered the tiramisu and cream puff pastry to try. Both excellent. There was a large party in there and as the alcohol the flowed the volume went up, a lot. They crashed an engagement party on their way out, which want that funny to those ppl. Overall, this is a nice place with good food. There’s a bar downstairs with love music and I saw a couple of big private parties. If you haven’t been here in awhile, it’s worth a visit.

All pasta is made in-house from scratch. The flavors were remarkable in every dish from start to finish. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate; we enjoyed staying for a couple hours for a leisurely meal. My only regret is we didn’t arrive in time to see the sunset, which would’ve looked remarkable from the second-story vantage point. The wine was also delicious. I opted for the seasonal whitefish rigatoni and it was amazing. Great portion sizes and service as well. Great place for a date night. I’ll be back.

I want to start off that our food was very, very good. The restaurant was nicely decorated. That hostess was polite and we arrived for our reservation. We waited 20 minutes to be seated. This should have been a warning. I have been doing Google reviews for years. In general, I don’t post negative reviews because they are minor things and I don’t want to negatively impact a business over minor issues. However, this is the worst service I’ve had at a restaurant, in ten years. Our server took a long time to take our drink order and the drinks didn’t come for 20 minutes (Soda, beer, wine). Bread came another 20 minutes later and she said she’d come back with plates. They never showed. After another long delay, our food came out in waves. It was not delivered by our server. She came by about 15 minutes after we started eating to do refills and to check on our food. Which was luckily great. We ordered dessert.

Many larger parties sat after us, many smaller parties sat after us- all ate and finished before us. I watched one table, be over served, become increasingly loud. I watched the person who I think was manager go apologize to people who complained loudly. The manager never checked on us, which I felt was unprofessional on a busy night.

Our server told us, at the end of the service, that they were under staffed.

My general impression was that the food was very good, the restaurant is poorly managed, and the service is the worst I can remember.

Enjoy a date night with another couple at this restaurant. It was our first time venturing out past our general city. I am glad we did!

Driving in we stopped at checkpoint, which was surprising, but I understand now because it is located at a marina.

We were a bit confused with where to enter, because we were looking for a sign that said “Lago Lucina,” so we picked the main entrance!

Upon entrance, there were signs to the restaurant! Inside this building are beautiful banquet spaces on different floors I assume that can be rented for events.

The restaurant was located upstairs in a charming area. Which provided a nice dining atmosphere. We did have a reservation, so after being seated, we were greeted by Amy. She introduced herself, old school table manners! Which set the tone to me, Amy was amazing from start to finish!

She took our drink order, returned with them promptly with bread & oil dip. She then asked if we were having appetizers. We started with the meatballs and calamari appetizers. Both were delicious!

Once finishing our appetizers, she took our main course selections , removed those dishes. Returned with fresh utensils (we requested), and refills on our water and lemon. She serviced our table so well, we didn’t have to ask for anything!

Our main entrees were delivered nice, hot and scrumptious! Chicken Bruschetta, Chicken Parmigiana and Shrimp Risotto. The portions were very nice to our surprise!

Amy checked on us regularly as we ate our meal. After dinner was completed, Amy immediately boxed leftovers to go and asked us about our meal satisfaction. She thanked us for dining.

Our overall experience was impeccable! One small request, being that the setting is intimate and limited, management might want to request the live entertainment turn his speaker down! It was a bit loud and distracting as the volume of the conversations went up at each tables. Then the volume went down once he was completed.

I do recommend this restaurant for a special occasion and will return again in the future.

We went here for a Father’s Day dinner. The food was exceptional. The service was lack lustre. Everything from ordering to getting food was slow. The server apologized but did not offer any type of reimbursement. We were first to be seated and last to leave the restaurant.

First time at Lago Cucina! We had been wanting to try it for a while. While some things on the menu changed, the manager was still willing to honor our requests. Our experience was fantastic with Jake, our bartender. The manager was very kind. Love the nautical atmosphere. Happy holidays to the staff, and thank you for our experience!

First time here and the food was way better than I had thought it would be. I had the Alfredo Nero with a smoked old fashioned for dinner and Tiramisu for dessert. The Alfredo Nero had a delightful cajun seasoning. I also thought the Tiramisu was some of the best I’ve ever had.

I would like to say that the food at Lago Cucina is delicious also large portions. The service tonight was excellent. Kyle our server was friendly and very attentive. He came by our table a number of times to see if we needed anything. I definitely will be coming back Cuz there were a number of items on the menu I would love to try!!!
