I was surprised by how empty the pastry case was and that the small serving buffet area was shut down. It almost looked more like the end of the day rather than 9 AM on a Saturday. Fairly dim-lit except by the register, the environment is not overly inviting and not very ‘country’, but don’t let that deter you. I went in for a biscuit sandwich, and the one I got was pretty great. The sausage was well-flavored and a decently-thick patty. The biscuit was perfect, too. Soft, tender, buttermilk delicious. Next time I plan on trying them with gravy. I got the sandwich and a Monster for $6, pretty good. I approve.

This place is a Hempstead Hwy staple. I Stop in for breakfast a lot. Had a waffle combo. Service is prompt and courteous. The people make you feel at home. The food was fresh and perfectly cooked. Fluffy scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked bacon, crisp but not overly so, not too thin or thick. Waffle was crisp, hot and not soggy. I ate it last, and even after it had cooled it still tasted good. They also have a selection of kolache’s, muffins, breakfast sandwiches and Danish if you are looking to duck in for something quick.
If you communicate with the waitress whatever your preferences are, they will cook your food to taste. If you like crispy hash browns, let them know. If you want eggs with a certain kind of cheese, or your muffin toasted a certain way, they will cook it how you ask. Many of the people there are regulars and will probably strike up a conversation. It’s just that kind of place.
The interior is older but they have been slowly upgrading and making it nicer, new chairs, etc… The exterior is part of an old center and might look sketchier than it really is. But it’s definitely worth trying for breakfast or lunch which is served cafeteria style for their weekly dishes or you can order things like burgers and sandwiches cooked to order.

A place I will be going back to! Cafeteria and sit down service, a little crowded seating but if it’s not too busy then Your good.

Small local spot for a classic breakfast or lunch. I tried a biscuit sandwich and was happy with what I received. Everything was cooked well and there were no frills. Seems like they have all your lunch staples as well. Again, this is a very straightforward/classic menu only. I’m guessing the early crowd bought most of the food out of the case because it was quite empty. Prices are super good! Breakfast sandwich for under $4 is amazing. Clearly there are a lot of regulars as they knew many of the folks coming in by name.

Going to Angie’s is like traveling back in a time capsule to the 70’s. Great classic, hot meals, with friendly service. I’ve tried it twice recently with friends and family and everyone was pleased. It ain’t fancy inside but the food is delicious and the service is great! That’s what I care about. I’ll be eating here more often.

The chicken fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had! It’s so juicy and flavorful, and the breading is crispy and delicious. The beef tips over rice is my favorite dish on the menu. The beef is so tender and the gravy is so flavorful. I highly recommend it!

My husband ordered me the steak breast. I guess I was expecting steak. Or like a country fried steak. But…….. it was just a big hamburger patty with not much seasoning.

My first time here. Just like Moma’s cookin’! I enjoy my chick fried steak, gravy, mash, and the steamed cabbage was particularly good. Great mom and pop small restaurant. Good alternative to the same old boring chain restaurants. Was very fast they even have hot lunch ready if you are in a hurry. I will go back for breakfast.
