I was a little skeptical at first but I wanted some Mexican food. Building looks like it was maybe a shoneys in the past and could use a facelift. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice waiter. All the food was fresh. Reasonably priced. I ordered the fiesta dinner. It was 2 plates and could have fed 2 people. I personally didn’t care much for the salsa but the chips were fresh. Id eat there again. If you read any of my reviews you will see i can be pretty critical.

They take care of folks above and beyond every time. Homemade salsa everyday, the cheese dip has never been bad and we’ve been going since 2020. Do yourself a favor and visit soon, you will go back within 7 days I promise. The carnitas the carne asada, the enchiladas, are some of my favorites. And any taco you get will be delicious

Excellent service and food. The prices are very reasonable.We were given salsa and chips and our drink order was taken as soon as we sat down. I had beef,chicken,shrimp and chorizo fajitas with no beans and rice. My friend had the shrimp chimichanga and guacamole salad. The meat was still hot and sizzling on the plate when it arrived and delicious. We did not have a long wait whatsoever. The server was very attentive. Thank you so much for the wonderful dining experience.

6/7/2022 Back again and had two fajita plates which were spot on as usual. The salsa was not quite as good as it usually is… so if you guys are reading this… let’s return to the original recipe! Service was great as usual.

Previously… just have to say the last several visits have once again been fantastic. In fact I’m on here updating the review, because the whole family is asking to pick up food tonight for dinner!!! Back to full stars.
Previously… first less than stellar experience. Came in for lunch and the food was great… the guacamole on the other hand was old… and obviously so. We sent back our order of extra guacamole hoping for a remake, but none was offered. He even brought more of the old stuff on my fajitas plate, also sent back. The pina coladas were out and the strawberry margaritas ran out after the first one… hope this place isn’t going down already! Lowered two stars.

Previously…We heard that this was opened by the same people that previously owned El Tapatio… which was one of our favorite tex-mex spots for years. Our party of 5 was seated immediately and the service was great and friendly. They brought plenty of salsa, but it just didn’t have the zing it used to have… a little too much on the tomatoes. The fajitas were great portions as usual for a great price. The chicken, steak and shrimp were all top quality meats. The kids had quesadillas, both shrimp and chicken… and seemed satisfied. The youngest had a kid’s nacho plate with added jalapeños. Our adult drinks were great too. So… definitely worth a visit… the salsa is not as it was before… but that’s just my opinion. We’ll be back soon.

Today we were sat and asked for drink order. Then came chips and salsa. My son pulls the two bowls apart and several tiny roaches scatter. It was so disturbing and disgusting! We’ve eaten here many times. Never again! This is a full infestation.

I discovered “El Jimador” a little less than a year ago while visiting my mom. She and I go once a month now. I love Mexican Food! And “El Jimador” makes some of the Best I’ve ever eaten. Their frozen margaritas are absolutely delicious too! Definitely a restaurant you must try!

Stopped in for lunch. We shared the fajita beef nachos. Those were great. Really like the large chunks of veggies. Beef tasted good and the cheese sauce was very flavorful and thick enough to stick to everything. I ordered the Chile Colorado and was slightly dissapointed – though not without warning. The menu does specify that they are using the red ranchero sauce in this dish which isn’t the right approach. Anyway, upon arrival the plate looked good but fell short on flavor. Chile colorado should be a thicker, richer sauce with the meat cooked down in it. Not bad at all mind you – it was perfectly edible, but nothing compared to the same dish available at another eatery in town, or what I have cooked home made. The flavor was just ‘alright’. All that you can expect from fajita beef with ranchero poured on top and heated. It felt like a short cut that a lot of people wouldn’t be any wiser about. Nevertheless, it was a fine lunch meal and the service was great – I’ll just be trying something else if we come by again.

Excellent lunch specials even on weekends. Excellent service. Chatted a little in Spanish but they spoke English perfectly. Free chips and salsa. If your significant other is in a bad mood from hunger, bring them here.
