Came here for my Mom’s birthday. Our server Daniel was incredible. The new chicken dish that he recommended was outstanding. As well as the bacon wrapped dates were incredible. The rooms are a little small and quaint but didn’t feel stuffy like you still could have good conversations. I’d recommend dining downstairs rather than upstairs myself this was the second time I’ve been here. For dessert we had the peanut butter chocolate cake that was very good.

We loved the bistro for Valentine’s Day! It was a wonderful intimate setting with great food! We did the Valentine’s Day special and couldn’t get over how delicious it all was! We’re so lucky to have this gem in monument!

Went here for a date night for the first time. Kevin was our server and absolutely fantastic. Food was amazing, service was amazing. Loved the wine list and had a wonderful time. Will definitely be back!!

What a wonderful place for an intimate dinner! My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here tonight and it was easily one of the best meals I have ever had. The cocktails were refreshing and well made, the food was INCREDIBLE and our server was sweet and knowledgeable! Definitely recommend!

I had an amazing experience at the bistro on 2nd. The food was delicious and prepared with fresh ingredients / full of flavor. Highly recommend asking about the dessert menu, it was homemade and just enough to closeout our dinner.
I like how they had a unique menu compared to a traditional wine and dine.

Food was good. One drawback was my wife ordered medium lamb, 3 piece, but one was served Rare. Instead of just taking the rare lamb, the waiter took the whole plate for about 5-7 min before bringing back the original plate minus the one Rare piece. Aside from that, my plate was good with the med rare 12oz steak. They did serve Luke warm water, vice ice water. They only had three different salads and a few desserts. Place is small. It was a cold winter evening and first entering the restaurant you could feel the warmth air greeting. After sitting in the restaurant for about 30 min, both my wife and I got cold and her feet got very cold. It’s not a bad place to eat. May be a better venue during the warmer months as they do have outdoor seating. Parking may be difficult to find during the summer as there are other restaurants nearby.

10 out of 5. Kenny was the best server which makes dining out such a pleasant experience. Then the meals were truly delicious. The steak my husband had was so tender and had such a delicious char on it – just perfect. My red snapper was undescribable delicious!! I cannot believe we have lived here this long and never been here. As we left, I was talking to the table guests next to us and they said they have never had less than a 5 out of 5 experience!! I’d have to agree.

Walked into what looked like an old house and left floating on a food “cloud nine.”
Kevin was out waiter and he is probably one of the best in the service industry. Attentive yet not intrusive, seeming to pop up exactly when we needed him. He knew how to explain food to the point where it tasted EXACTLY how he described it, made sure you felt like you were his main attention, and provided recommendations that were spot on.
The food was FANTABULOUS. Easily the top three scallop dishes I’ve had in my life (I’ve eaten scallops in New England, Florida, Texas, and California), presentation was superb, and depth of flavor in everything we ate was amazing. The combination of favors provided my pallet with an experience…not just tasty food.
The scotch menu is small but on point and the dessert options covered every taste desire.
100% recommend and I will be attending again very soon.

The Bistro on 2nd has an incredible atmosphere. My server Noah was outstanding: knowledgeable, personable and spot-on with his menu recommendations. The elk tenderloin was unforgettable and easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. From start to finish the entire team delivered an exceptional experience. This place is an absolute must-visit.

We came to The Bistro on 2nd to celebrate some fantastic news. We made a reservation. When we got there we were greeted right away and taken to our table. The service was excellent, polite, friendly but somewhat reserved (not too much in our face). The atmosphere is nice with dimmed lighting … but not so dimmed that you can’t read the menu. It was quiet and serene. My wine was fantastic. My husband enjoyed his IPA. We started with a calabrian chili pepper and shrimp app. Loved it! Cooked perfectly with just such a nice heat level from the chilies. We both ordered the elk tenderloin and it was the best elk I’ve ever eaten. (I grew up rural in Idaho and ate a LOT of elk.) The elk was cooked beautifully, the flavors amazing and so cohesive. The brussel sprouts were so delicious with excellent textures. I could eat that meal every darn day! YUM!
