Nice clean spot w/ friendly staff!
If you’re driving prepare to find street parking.
I ordered a Chicago style lobster roll and loaded lobster fries which rang in a little under $45. Each lobster roll comes with fries, so I ended up with somewhat of a double portion. My lobster on the roll was a little rubbery; but not on the loaded fries-Thank god! The flavor on the roll itself was buttery and flavorful; However, I could go without so much cheese sauce on the loaded fries. If I come back I’d probably opt for the traditional lobster roll. They play great music. This spot is like an eat n go.
I recently revisited Dec 11,2023 since it’s been a year and I must say thoroughly disappointed with my lobster roll. The lobster on this roll was so skimpy and didn’t have the traditional ingredients for a main style lobster roll. It just had mayo topped with garnish and a single leaf of lettuce. Very disappointing. The fries were the best part, sadly. Will add pic for reference

Lobster roll was really TINY Unfortunate because it was really good. Very little lobster on the mac & cheese which was really good as well. My friend got pasta and shrimp he liked better then golden crust.

I order a lobster Mac n cheese and a lobster roll. My lobster roll was burnt and they didn’t give me a good amount of Mac n cheese. It was one scoop of Mac n chesse which was not enough for what they charge. After I saw how much they gave me I asked the lady at the front desk can I get a fill cup of Mac? She said no that’s how much they give. Please don’t order from here you will leave hungry and broke.

I never write bad reviews. But…I Ordered food to be delivered. The $13.00 corn that I ordered did not arrive. The $26.00 lobster roll was tiny. Like a kids meal. I took a pic next to my Apple Pencil for reference. The lobster roll is literally the size of a small hot dog. It was good…but not worth $26 bucks in my opinion. And not at all like what is pictured when you order it.

Unfortunately their AC system was not working on one of the hottest days so we were not able to stay in to eat… We felt bad for the ladies working there.
Big Apple Roll is warm with butter and . We shelled out for the claw and knuckles upgrade YUM! Love it! Claws are the best part of a .
Stuffed Clam was ok. I don’t think this item faired well as a take out item. It might have kept cooking while we travel in the heat wave going home even if we were only 5mins away. The clam meat was a little on the chewy side. Maybe I’ll try it again freshly made next time while we sit in to eat.

I went to City Lobster, Main Street Hackensack for the first time tonight. I was very impressed. The girl behind the counter was attentive, helpful and friendly. The place is clean and nicely decorated.
I ordered the Stamford lobster roll for $20. What I liked is that it was made with melted butter and I can’t always get Connecticut lobsters at other places. The lobster was tender and flavorful with a generous amount of lobster with no fillers. The lobster roll was fresh, lightly toasted and flavorful with the melted butter.
I would highly recommend City Lobster. It’s a great addition to our area and it was good value. I could spend almost as much at a fast food place.

Awesome lobster rolls. Best I’ve had in Bergen County, by far. Love the addition to Hackensack, and its convenient location is even better. Had the Stanford Roll, and could not have been more pleasantly pleased. Ordered online for pickup on my way from work, and loved the customer service. The owner was super friendly, greeting customers at the door. Love it, definitely earned a new client.

We ordered the seafood boil, lobster roll, steak and shrimp, and wings. Everything was delicious but the boil was out of this world. Everything was affordable considering what they’re serving and the quality of everything. The service was amazing everyone was so welcoming and had an amazing vibe and so attentive. It made the whole experience 10 times better. We will definitely be coming back.
