Taqueria Doña Tere is hands down one of those places that keeps you coming back again and again. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels authentic and comforting—like a true neighborhood taqueria where the food is made with love and tradition.

The food is phenomenal. Every bite tastes fresh, flavorful, and carefully prepared. The meats are perfectly seasoned and cooked, the tortillas are soft and delicious, and the portions are generous without feeling overwhelming. You can really tell they don’t cut corners here. Whether you’re ordering tacos, burritos, plates, or anything else on the menu, everything comes out hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The salsas deserve a special mention—so good, with just the right amount of kick and depth.

The service is another huge highlight. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. You never feel rushed, and they’re always happy to answer questions or make recommendations. It’s the kind of service that makes you feel appreciated as a customer, which honestly makes the food taste even better.

What really sets Taqueria Doña Tere apart is the consistency. Every visit is just as good as the last, which is hard to find. It’s the perfect spot for a quick lunch, a casual dinner, or even a comfort-food stop when you’re craving something satisfying and authentic.

If you’re looking for real, delicious Mexican food made with care and heart, Taqueria Doña Tere is a must-try. Highly recommend supporting this local gem—you won’t leave disappointed, and chances are, you’ll already be planning your next visit before you’re done eating.

When this truck first started coming up it was absolutely delicious. Lately it has gone downhill. The meat is always dry and not as flavorful as it used to be. I have now, not gotten what I ordered twice and have waited over a half an hour for my food to be wrong. It’s simple stuff, but I asked for salsa and sour cream on my burrito and I got neither and was charged for it, I also asked for a side of jalapenos and lime which I also got charged for and did not receive. When I called to ask them to fix it, his first story was “yeah we took that order but it wasn’t a girl who ordered it” I literally had do describe what I was wearing and what car I was in just for him to then tell me “oh well the sour cream and salsa just get soaked up by the rice.” My burrito is bone dry. I know what salsa and sour cream looks like in a burrito. Had he just said ‘we are sorry’ I would have let this go, but he tried to gaslight me into believing he put stuff on my burrito that clearly aren’t there. I’m so beyond disappointed in this customer service and food. Soaked up by the rice is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard

This is hands down the BEST Mexican food truck on the ridge. The other day they weren’t open yet and I got burritos somewhere else and I regretted it. I’m only coming to this one from here on out. The have the best flavor in town and are truly authentic… I drive up all the way from down in paradise! It’s cash only but I don’t mind… it’s worth the trip every time !

It’s a food truck. Delicious Mexican food. There isn’t seating but lots of room to park. I’ve had almost everything on the menu and have loved everything. Mild and Hot are your choices for spiciness. The mild has some heat, and I would start there. Sometimes, they have fruit available, don’t miss out on that if it’s available.

I love natchos and I try them everywhere. I tried the natchos from this truck the other day for the first time and they were the best natchos I’ve ever had. I had it with the shredded beef and that was great too. Wish I took a picture but I didn’t.

One of the best burritos I’ve had! Some he made it so you got beans, rice, steak and everything else in every bite! Split it with my wife and was plenty full. Not the cheapest but worth it. No menu but that’s okay… Also having porta-potties in the parking lot was nice!

Yummy, tortas and big yummy burritos. I love the carne asada, my only minor complaint is shredded beef is my favorite and it was great the first few times I ordered it but now they have really spiced it up and it’s a bit to hot for me. That’s just me though so I still think they are the best taco truck on the ridge.

I will start off by saying that the food here is delicious. The flavor is always top notch, which is why I gave them two stars instead of one, however, my family and I have experienced issues with their quality control. The first of these instances was with a burrito that I got from them over a year ago. The burrito smelled like fish. Having ordered a carne asada burrito, we decided to take it back and get a replacement. The staff informed us that they do not serve fish and begrudgingly made me a fresh burrito. I got home and ate less than half of my burrito and found a huge piece of bone inside of it.
A couple of months later, we decided to give them another chance. I ordered a vegetarian burrito, got less that halfway through, and foun a large piece of paper from a paper bag inside.
Fast forward to today, we decided, again, to give them another chance. I ordered a vegetarian burrito, and found a piece of beef in it.

The icing on the cake is that my whole family is now sick with what I can only assume is food poisoning. We won’t be returning.

The torta was big and so flavorful. Definitely get again. It’s a cash only business so I did have to go into the store to pull cash out.
