My mom and I just had afternoon tea here over the weekend and we have had many afternoon teas over the years! We really enjoyed Morning Lavender’s afternoon tea. The selection of teas is plentiful, I really enjoyed the Heavenly Cream black tea. The array of sandwiches is diverse and we appreciated how soft the bread was. Included were scones and a selection of petite desserts. The scones are not as traditional but we enjoyed coconut scone. The ambiance and the fact they use real fine China really elevates the experience and makes the $42 per person price point super reasonable given the experience. We appreciate the thoughtfulness put into this experience and hope to be back soon! Service was really great too, thank you Lee!

Very clean and cute cafe that is thoughtfully decorated. Came here with my daughter and she was delighted with the cute pastries and colorful drinks. There is music and people chattering, and I didn’t feel any pressure having a toddler chattering away. The drinks from the flight set were fun to try (upgraded to ceremonial matcha for an extra $2) and the food was fresh and enjoyable, though everything is on the pricey side – $7 croissant, $10 small flat bread. Overall a nice place to catch up with a friend or enjoy some alone time.

Adorable over all!

Minuses first:

Loud emo coffeehouse music is the antithesis of the cottagecore aesthetic. Lol.

The 2 female baristas were as pretty as the café itself, but not super friendly. No greeting, welcome, or suggestions/asking if it was first time in. But they weren’t unkind either… maybe just super chill.

Food was nearly $30 for a ham & cheese croissant (meh) & “flight” of lattes.

Pluses:

Gorgeous cottagecore shabby chic decor… very photogenic as you can see!

Cozy seating.

The flight of drinks were good. In the photos, pictured left to right, rose matcha, matcha, rose latte and lavender latte. Rose matcha was a fave, followed by rose latte, lavender matcha and lavender latte. Pricey, but over all, lovely presentation and way to try a variety and choose a favorite. I will likely splurge and get a rose matcha to go.

They offer a lot of alternative milks, including macadamia.

The boutique next door is gorgeous and the lady who works there (owner?) lovely and friendly.

Over all, the pluses overrode the minuses and I do recommend!

Okay so like hear me out….. i ordered a hot caramel vanilla late on a friday morning.. so the place was busy.. so my friends and i hella waited.
like 35-40 mins for my latte. I was crashing out.
but the moment i took a sip of the latte….i completely forgot about the time that I waited for the coffee. It was that delicious. I mean, european level good because the last time i had hot coffee THAT good was in the netherlands.
that lovely barista, you’re amazing. black sweater, white short hair, double nose piercing. YOU ATE with that coffee.
I will never forget you.
thank you.

The cafe has a wonderful, whimsical menu full of floral and fruit-forward lattes. The space is light and airy and definitely very feminine – an extremely relaxing, comfortable place to get some reading or work done.

It’s attached to a boutique that my wife loved, and is staffed by friendly helpful people all around. Worth a visit!

I’ve tried this place a couple of times. I think the decor and ambiance are super cute and very kitchy. This place is very feminine forward and beautiful. I’d say sometimes the service is good and sometimes snooty and not great. The staff seems young and not always in the best of moods. But, I understand the public can be hard to deal with at times. As for the drinks and food, I’m going to give these 2 stars, I’m not impressed with the taste of the offerings. The only thing worth getting is a lavender match green tea iced, but it tastes gritty and really needs its high sugary additive. I was disappointed by their crossaints and baked goods, as well as their teas. They are using a gourmet tea brand, but it smells great but tastes awful. I’ve tried several different flavors, and if you want coffee, I can’t be a judge their since I don’t drink coffee. Overall, I give it 3 stars. It’s beautiful but lacks in the food/service aspect for me. I still think it’s worth you giving it a try. I know cafes have bad days, so try it and see for yourself.

Coffee is always a good idea! A fun cafe with fun coffee and tea beverages and a cute little boutique shop store! The vibe is very girly, chic, dainty, charming and pink. Great for dates, birthday parties, Gal-intines and Valentine’s Day celebrations and girls day outings. They even have a latte flight! I might have to go back for that. The rose latte was yummy and not yo sweet. I didn’t really like getting the rose petals in my mouth though.

This place is gorgeous!! The lavender latte was splendid, with a sea salt cream top, though the lavender garnish felt a bit unnecessary because I was just spitting out lavender bits by the end.
We also tried the flight to try 4 drinks. The matcha drinks were underwhelming, the color is there but it looks and tastes watered down.

This place is an absolute gem! Parking was super easy, which is such a plus in Solana Beach. The location itself is beyond adorable—cozy, feminine, and beautifully decorated. I’m a fan of all things girly, and this café nails it!

I ordered the lavender latte, and wow—it was perfect. I’m usually not impressed by most lavender lattes, but this one completely changed my mind. The flavor was balanced, smooth, and just delicious. Plus, the cup it came in was the cutest shade of purple!

I noticed they offer tea parties, which I’m so excited to try next time. The pastries looked amazing, and while I didn’t try any this time, the menu had so many tempting options. The attention to detail here is top-notch—from the décor to the cups to the overall ambiance.

The customer service was great, and my friend and I had such a wonderful experience. We soaked in all the cute little details and couldn’t stop gushing over how charming everything was. And the boutique next door? Obsessed! So many adorable finds.

I’ll definitely be coming back—this place is a new favorite!
