This is one of those tight walk-up spots right on the Parkway where you grab food and keep moving. It’s not a sit-down place, more like a compact window with quick Southern comfort food like wings, tenders, and loaded fries. Food usually comes out fast even when there’s a line, which helps on busy evenings when everything downtown feels packed. Prices are on the touristy side but still in line with most Gatlinburg fast bites. One interesting thing is they often run live streams on YouTube, so people online can watch and comment in real time. The vibe there is usually light and playful, with staff trying to be funny and friendly with viewers and customers. It adds a bit of chaotic energy, which some people enjoy and others might find distracting. Seating is limited and mostly outside, so weather and crowd levels really matter. When the sidewalk fills up, ordering can feel a little messy but the line tends to move. Quality is decent for a tiny window, though it can vary depending on how busy they are. Fries and wings are usually the safest picks, nothing fancy but satisfying. Not a must-visit destination, but a solid grab-and-go stop if you’re already walking downtown.

We’ve been in here a few times. Mainly for the side of fries because the value is great and the fries are pretty darn good. Went twice in one day today first time got a grilled cheese and fries which comes with a drink for about $7. We really wanted chicken so we walked back down and gave this place a chance given it’s named the chicken hut. Terrible. See picture. You get four “strips” of this size with the fries and NO drink for like $14. The chicken isn’t crispy or seasoned at all. The workers here aren’t all that friendly. Atmosphere only getting a two instead of one because they play old school cartoons. DISAPPOINTED Not a great CHICKEN place.

Food was excellent: chicken, slaw, and fries. Chicken crispy, seasoned well. Not fast food fries but like my dad used to make. This kind of fry is softer than average. Could have used more salt but not everyone can have a lot. Cole slaw amazing, mayo, not vinegar, based. Staff hard-working and friendly. It is a tiny shop with little seating. We got ours to go. It was Valentines Day and the shop got a little tight while waiting.

Gave this place a try since there are no other halal joints in the area. Was told the chicken is halal. We tried the wings, fried chicken, and chicken sandwich. Everything was just ok. Nothing was good or bad.

I recently visited Chicken Hut and had a rather disappointing experience. The cleanliness of the restaurant was lacking, and I even noticed the owner eating in the kitchen, which didn’t inspire confidence. The French fries were soggy and not crispy at all, and the fried chicken seemed stale, likely from sitting in the hot case for too long. The taste of the chicken was quite lardy, and overall, I felt like I wasted $52. It was the worst fries of my life.

It’s a nice little spot. Staff is nice food came out quickly. Portioning is generous. It is a small location though. The owner gave us a sample portion of the chicken and it was tasty. Nice flavor. However I do find it to be a little pricey but that was kind of expected to be in a tourist area. The tourists tax

We had a great fresh and hot meal when we visited Chicken Hut while visiting Gatlinburg! We didn’t have to wait very long while they cooked our meal and then we got to sit outside to enjoy it. The space is a little small on the inside but the outside seating helps. The chicken was really good but the fries were my favorite! We also tried the mozzarella cheese sticks and the fried pickles. I like the mozzarella cheese sticks better. Thanks for lunch guys!

We’ve eaten here a few times. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve been back to Gatlinburg. OMG, the prices are ridiculous. It was $10 combo without a drink. The tenders were small. The fries were hard. We definitely will not be back after this time. I’m not sure if it has new owners, but it’s not worth it. Go to a nice sit down restaurant.

This place is mediocre. So I have been coming to Gatlinburg for four years now. When I first started coming here they had the biggest, juiciest beef hot dogs. I got one a couple of days ago and it was very skinny, very shrunk up, and overall a tough hot dog…for almost $11 !!! The taste was kind of like a school hot dog if you know what that tastes like …
My friends get their chicken tenders / wings and enjoy them. My friend got their macaroni and cheese and although you can tell it’s clearly Kraft it’s delicious. Overall, a quick(ish) place to get food but would not be my first pick.

The burger from here was great. Be sure to add bacon to enhance the flavor. My wife got their philly cheesesteak sandwich, and she said it was amazing! The fries are out of this world good. My son said the BBQ sandwich was very good as well. You will not leave this place disappointed. They also have family meals as well.
