We wandered in on instinct for lunch and it was absolutely dead and it SHOULDNT BE. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in a very long time, and I’m from California. The cheese dip was actually melted grilled cheese, the chips were some of the best I’ve had, and the pico was so fresh and bright. I had the huevos rancheros and it was SO GOOD. My fiance had a breakfast burrito with chorizo and he was dying, it was so good. Super friendly service, delicious food, and a super relaxing atmosphere. We will be back for sure!

Muchos Bueno! First time visit so I can only comment on the Chicken Burrito, plus had a little Vegetable Burrito, and about them I say mmm mmmm good! I’m thinking everything is good from the food and beverages to the Service and Atmosphere. Great bunch of people that know how to make food and friendship.

This is a really cool place. It’s basically right along side the delaware river, underneath an (antique store?). The food is excellent. There is a very cool cave-like room in the front with a glass window on the ceiling showing the storefront above.

Unfortunately our experience was tainted tonight. The food was excellent. The waitress accommodating and friendly. The meals came in good time, hot and well spiced. The problem was in how they handled a mistake. One of our party ordered a meal with a beef and a veggie chimichanga and asked the waitress to let us know if that was an issue. The food arrived. Ate the beef one only to find two beef. We asked for the veggie one and were told the chef was unable to make one. He=she could only make two beef or two veggie. Not one of each. So instead of happy clients we left with half a meal we did not want and a full credit for the meal. Makes little or no sense when even if they made two veggie ( the manager said they could only make two at a time) gave us one and threw away the other the restaurant would have made more money and four happy customers.
Now we will not return and will share this lack of service with our friends.. Hard to understand why the chef was unable to make one veggie. The manager also stating that the kitchen was too busy to address the issue at that time.
The manager brought the check. No offer of desert. The restaurant had the option to make more money, happy customers and chose to not want to solve the problem to the benefit of all.

Fresh salsa! Great service. Highly recommend the Al Pastor tacos. I should have taken a photo but they were quickly devoured; they were very sizeable tacos with generous portions of meat and pineapple. So yummy.

So I love this little town and have friends through a number of times and and finally had the opportunity to stop in. This is such a cozy restaurant with great ambience. I was surprised how slow it was on a Friday night. The food and service were excellent. I would stop and eat here again if the opportunity presented itself.

Absolutely fantastic food! I went in here on a whim for a late lunch, and boy am I glad I did! The service was great, in a cozy atmosphere, and the food really blew my pallet out of the water. I ordered shrimp tacos, and I asked the waiter if I could get the shrimp in the chipotle garlic sauce like they offer for the shrimp plate with rice. At first I thought they only prepare shrimp that way for the other plate, so when I took my first bite and noticed the shrimp was in-fact prepared in the sauce I asked for- it was UNBELIEVABLY good!! That flavor of the shrimp combined with the mango salsa and toppings was a satisfying taste unlike any other. Bless this establishment and the fine people that run it, making sure you leave satisfied. I for one, left feeling like a million bucks after that feel good delicious meal!

My husband got the carne asada and I swear it was one of the best skirt steaks he has had out. The sauce they used was so flavorful and the steak was cooked perfectly. I got the mole and the chef was very accommodating and the flavors were very rich. I would highly recommended if you are in the area.

Not personally “a place to come back to” for me, at the cost of sounding cheap, I feel like the expensive meals lack the sort of oomph that one would expect from Latine cuisine, the heart of a meal is its colorful and vibrant aroma alongside a sweet, rich, plate of produce locally sourced, but the plate of rice, and the sad grey beans, left a lot to be desired for a Carne Asada.
The atmosphere is quiet enough, soft enough, the service attentive enough, all more than enough to allow for friends old and new to catch up before a show at ArtYard just a minute walk from it, so I can appreciate that about Cocina Del Sol. And I hope that it remains true, because it’s heart is really in the staff, and the sound of my people. Spanish is the true winner at this location alongside the wonderful art, and the terrific layout. I can almost picture myself there again without having to blink.

Great people and great service. We in the basement part of the restaurant although I think you can sit in the courtyard where there shade which we didn’t realize until afterwards, I would definitely go back and sit in the courtyard. The food was quite good. I highly recommend this place.
