So glad this place has opened back up after being closed for years! The food is just as good as it was years ago. The quality is surprisingly good for a buffet! My favorite item on the buffet has to be the General Tso’s chicken, with the fried fish coming in as a close second! They have a good salad bar as well. Their cookies on the dessert bar were fresh baked!

One a positive note…the women’s restroom was clean, the waitress was friendly, and the establishment appeared clean. The salad tasted fresh.
Now, the rest of the story…the fried foods seemed to be saturated with over used grease. The rice was super sticky and cold. The rolls were sitting out way too long as well as most of the other food. It just wasn’t fresh. The desert bar had apple crisp that looked like it was left over from lunch (we were there around 7pm).
I don’t mind paying a reasonable price for a good meal, but $32 for a less than mediocre meal is unacceptable. They may have a good, fresh selection at lunch. Dinner was terrible. My stomach started rumbling before we left the place. Look closely at the photo of the apple crisp. Look fresh?

We are so glad to have Root Zero 3 back! The food was hot, fresh & tasty. (Possibly the best hand breaded chicken tenders ever!) Our waitress was fantastic, the entire place is super clean and the ambiance is priceless! Perfect for a nice, relaxing family dinner.

My first thoughts on this place was wow I haven’t seen it open in a long time. So we decided to try it. First off we walk in the door was well at least it looks clean and the hostess was nice. Our waitress the on the other hand she lacked skills she acted like she was super shy wasn’t very attentive to the tables. The food on the other hand wasvery bland no flavors at all. And the lo mein noodles were very disgusting I literally had to spit them out Because of the taste it had It tasted musty and like old dirty dishwater. The meatloaf was okay The ice cream and the cookies were the best part.

My family and I went tonight I have never been to this place before. My first experience was good the staff was very friendly and curious. The place was very clean very open and welcoming.
Now for the food the food was amazing the meatloaf was delicious along side my favorite thing I had was the ribs I felt like it was the most amazing thing I had tonight

My son enjoyed the fish I’m not a big fish eater so I’m taking his word for it lol and he also got chicken strips and the noodles from the Chinese side he said it was really good that he wants to come back again
I’m saying you should give this place a chance good food and for a reasonable price I will definitely be going back

Went Two days ago with my whole family, sadly, we will never go again.
We 4 all tried many different things, but most items were bad.
The various forms of chicken were dry and had no flavor. Actually all the food pretty much had no flavor. Their attempts at the little bit of chinese food was tasteless as well.
I feel like all the food lacked seasoning and was prepared for extremely sensitive stomachs of seniors in a residential home or something.
There were no deserts whatsoever.
Also they should put labels over the food.
I mean I could go on but really, it just wasn’t good. This sucks as we were all actually really excited about them reopening.
The service was good as well as the atmosphere.

When the food is old, it shows. The Asian side had a few choices. The fried choices had to be from the day before as the outside was lukewarm and the inside was colder than the room temperature. The breading was soggy, like it had been steamed. This was a half hour after they opened. The food was sparse for just opening for the day. The broccoli was old….old as the florets were blooming into yellow flowers. The broccoli was also an olive drab, not bright green like fresh broccoli is. My daughter got fresh fruit, not that fresh. The strawberries were soft and bruised and the watermelon was not ripe. My daughter described it as leathery.
The old Root Zero 3 had baked ham and pot roast on the buffet for lunch. 90% of the protein is now fried, except for the sausage and meatloaf.
This was the first time in my 70 years on this earth that I felt nausea from the fried food because of the grease and no non fried selections.
The old Root Zero 3 was decent. I’m so glad Root Zero 3 opened back up! Carthage needs good quality restaurants like this. The food was good and there was plenty of variety on the buffet. Our server, Raylee, was very attentive keeping our dishes cleared and drinks full. I would definitely recommend.

Tried this place just a couple weeks after they opened. It is a buffet with an odd assortment of multiple types of food. Not impressed. Waitress was good,, but food quality was poor. Everything was either super bland with no flavor or improperly cooked (some was cold, other items were overcooked and dried out). Extremely disappointing, especially considering the price. I will not be returning.
