Service was good. The sushi was a mix for me. The shaggy dog wich was marked a favorite was sub par. To much rice to meat and topping ratio to me, which threw off the flavors. Thw flavors where also unbalanced with my rice less roll. Thou the spicy tuna was great. The booths need repair throwing off the otherwise spot on atmosphere. With a few tweaks this place could be great.

They don’t give you the full amount of fish that you order. Rolls were supposed to be topped with salmon and avocado pieces with crab and more avocado on the inside. They practically gave me a bare roll with a minuscule amount of salmon and avocado in the inside and charged me the full price. I showed it to their staff and they said that’s what it’s supposed to be despite what’s shown in the picture. Rip off. From now on I’ll just go get sushi at HEB across the street at half the price and triple the fish. Pictures show what was advertised and what I received instead.

I came out here for my friends wedding and we were looking around for lunch. I saw this place and we all love Asian food so we figured we would try it. Let me just say this, it is expensive but this is the FRESHEST Asian food I have EVER had in my 24 years. The $6 large fried rice SIDE was a HUGE plate. It was absolutely incredible. Our server was very friendly and had a happy attitude, laughing with us. I highly recommend this place! It might be a pretty penny but it’s the prettiest penny you’ll ever spend.

Came in and was served food that was nearly ice cold. I asked them to take it back and heat it and it came back the exact same way. When I asked about it the host got sassy. I was in town visiting my daughter and wanted to treat her to a nice dinner off campus. Will not be eating here again. $165 for trash food and poor service.

Showed up first time… “card reader down, cash only” ok fine I wasn’t carrying $100 cash so we we left. Went back 2/13 and I guess nobody works there. The line at the front door didn’t move in 10 minutes… and the restaurant was only half full so we left… I’ll spend my money somewhere else.

I hope this was a one off experience and not something that is going to be the new norm here. We got $70 worth of sushi the other day to go and it was not good. H-E-B has better sushi for half the price. I’ll give them the benefit of being very busy when I went to pick up. I placed the order online, walked in the door, and waited over 20 minutes before anyone ever even said anything to me. The couple who walked in 10 minutes after me were threatening to leave. The crab Rangoon we ordered was ice cold, the sushi was not quality and the rolls were just thrown together. I hope they can fix this, it’s the only restaurant for sushi in town.

Been coming here for years, and only was disappointed one time with the food, but the service is always amazing! There’s so many restaurants in Brenham that have terrible food and bad service. The employees here are always so upbeat and courteous, and go out of their way to make sure my family and I are happy and comfortable. One thing I have learned from being in the military and interacting with foreigners, is that they are more appreciative and happy to be working in this country, something that many Americans take for granted. When you come to this establishment, it’s very evident that they fit this mold to a T!!!!

This was an amazing experience. I’ve been to a Shoguns before, and I was disappointed. But this place, is different. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is unlike any other, however the best thing about this place, is the service. We had a man on his first day here. He had many amazing tricks such as throwing eggs in the air several times and catching them over and over again on a spatula. We had three birthdays that we were celebrating. He made Mickey Mouse out of rice, lemons, and an egg. We got the rice and it was the best rice I’ve ever had. Then the main portion came out (I
got teriyaki steak) and it was DELICIOUS!!!! Afterwards they brought out some awesome dessert, birthday thing to the three birthdays we were celebrating and sang to each of them after putting a panda head on. Overall amazing experience. Will be eating here again.

Update. USED to be best sushi ever. I have had a couple unpleasant experiences and yet I keep coming back bc they are the only sushi place in town…
Got sick once on the soft shell crab, still came back
This one, I just can’t see spending the money anymore. Spoke with the manager on duty today and was told that “there are six pieces of eel in there, mam” I said I don’t remember paying $16 for mostly rice. To which he responded “you must not have come in a long time”. So apparently we used to get more for less money. I get it. I come about once a month, but I hadn’t ordered the caterpillar roll in about a year…
Don’t go here if you want value for your money and don’t look up at the ceiling above the booths… mold central.
I can abide by a lot, I’m really patient and I was very polite when spoke to the rude manager. I’m also not a person who complains a lot, but I’m going to spend any more money here. This is why businesses are closing. Poor value and poor management.
My waitress was AMAZING though!!! 5 stars for her!

Food is good, over priced in my opinion.
Soup is really my favorite part of the meal. They don’t give much of that. Salad is drowned in dressing. Depending on if chef is how your food is cooked.
Some what interactive and again depends on chef for how entertaining while cooking the food in front of you.
