A visually stunning café with a “cool-meets-cozy” atmosphere that stands out in Port Jefferson. The service is efficient—even when they’re busy, the wait for food is only about 6–8 minutes. It’s a great spot for anyone who appreciates a local business that prioritizes creativity in both its decor and its menu.
The Kansas City Wrap was excellent, featuring high-quality fresh ingredients and a surprisingly authentic regional BBQ flavor. Their Java Bar is also top-tier confirmed by my girlfriend; the Mocha Caramel coffee was delicious and a clear step above your standard corporate brews. Great for foodies, coffee lovers, and anyone looking for a relaxed, artistic environment to grab a meal. They also have an extensive vegan menu.
Their Spiced Chai Frappe is incredible—a perfect blend of creamy, icy refreshment with the comforting spices of chai. It’s rich but not too sweet, with just the right balance of cinnamon, cardamom, and other warming spices. Every sip feels like a treat, especially on a warm day when you still want those cozy chai flavors.
The staff is friendly and quick, making the ordering process smooth even when the café is busy. Whether you’re a local or visiting Port Jefferson’s waterfront, Tiger Lily Café is a must-visit for great drinks, unique atmosphere, and that unforgettable Spiced Chai Frappe.
This place was and is cutting edge. It’s a must- visit for vegetarians, vegans, and nestled in the heart of Port Jeff harbor, there’s truly nothing else like it and it’s not a chain.
It used to take cash only like most independent business — and ever since 2020 it takes both cash and card.
Their veggie burger is the best mediest non–meat I’ve ever had in my years of being vegan and vegetarian. Their homemade tofu cutlets never miss as well as all their fun salad choices that rotate every so often.
Their Sunshine burger is super earthy.
Everybody loves their falafel and crab cakes.
I recommend their Medusa juice, gazpacho soup, and the little hidden Brie and jam on a roll with sliced pears. The staff and workers work really hard to make sure the food is delicious and consistent every time.
Even though prices have raised somewhat, it’s worth it for the amazing warm atmosphere and the women that run it are willing and ready for conversations and their attitude is always top notch as far as I’ve gone in.
Thank you, Tiger Lily, for all your business, excellent food, and warm service. So incredibly grateful that an earthy, artsy place like you exists, and the people that run it and support it make it possible.
Must-try: sesame tofu cutlet wrap.
Highlights: Works from local artists showcased in Medusa’s lounge. Stay and enjoy the funky atmosphere here!
Food: This cafe provides delicious vegetarian menu (probably the best I have ever tried in local area). As a non-vegetarian, I was hesitate, but the sesame tofu cutlet wrap is amazing. They also have a juice bar with rich options.
Parking: Free street parking / paid parking in parking lots.
