What a great experience my husband & I had here!! We were instantly greeted with kindness/happiness the moment we walked in the door. Extreme hospitality within this location. It was super clean too! We will most definitely be returning customers. Bernadette made us feel so extra special too. Love her!!! She is an amazing person with a huge heart. I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name, but he was great too & so silly. I love to laugh! It was our 3 year wedding anniversary & I swear I felt like such a happy princess in this facility. Thank you all so much for making our day start out amazing!!

Definitely different from a Buffet syle Golden Corral. It’s a To Go style with limited menu options. The food available was a good selection. I enjoyed the meatloaf. I did have to ask for a Roll, as the option was missed during checkout. The service staff is friendly and I didn’t have any major issues.
I do not recommend the mac and cheese. It was OK, but I prefer a different style of Mac & Cheese. It’s not for me, but it may be something you like.
They offer booth and table seating. High chairs are available. I saw 2 high chairs available near the ice cream machine. The have a long bench seat near the big front window. It’s a section slightly separated from the rest. It would make for a good large party seating area.

We had 2 kids and 2 adults and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the serving line instead of buffet. We were able to go back since we got the “all you can eat” option. The cabbage greens were awesome. Will be going back for family meals again.

Everything the restaurant industry has been needing! Excellent food, exceptional service and the atmosphere is beautiful! It’s wonderful to have home cooked favorites for a great price and minimal time! No boring burgers and fries here! I have been twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. We have tried the pot roast entree with mashed potatoes, pot roast bowl, honey chicken sandwich, Mac and cheese balls, potato wedges and all three desserts. Everything was delicious and you can tell time and effort went into making every meal delicious! The breakfast bowl was also fantastic. Perfectly seasoned, pretty presentation and a good portion for the price. I love the decor and felt comfortable in both the booth we sat at for dinner and the family table we sat at for breakfast. And I cannot say enough about the exceptional crew! Everyone was friendly, eager to please and knowledgeable about the offerings. Well done, Homeward Kitchen!! I can’t wait for one to pop up closer to where I live but I’ll definitely go out of my way to return to this one until then!

Ordered takeout from Golden Corral Favorites in Southern Pines. My order included fried fish (with an extra fish entrée), broccoli and cheese, rice with gravy, and a yeast roll. The rice was a mix of soft and extremely hard, dried-out pieces and appeared to have been scraped from the bottom of the pan. Food in that condition should have been discarded, not served.
The rest of the food was okay, but serving rice like this significantly affected the meal—especially for takeout, where customers can’t inspect food before leaving. Hoping management addresses food quality standards going forward.

This was our first time here and Mr. Ford was on point, his charisma was amazing. He absolutely made the experience the best. We got the crispy fish and the Nashville chicken sandwich and banana pudding. That Nashville chicken has a good heat! Highly recommend this spot. Say Hi to Mr. Ford.

It took me a while to get here. Previous experiences with Golden Corral’s food left me feeling queasy and swollen from the sodium and fat. But it was Restaurant Week, so I gave it a try. The prices are good (be sure to get the app!), the portions are big, and the food is delicious. I’m working my way through the menu, but my current favs are the pot roast, meat loaf, grilled chicken, broccoli, fried okra, and mashed potatoes and gravy. The cornbread is fantastic and the soft serve ice cream is a nice finish. While the food is great, it’s the people I truly appreciate. Every single person I’ve encountered has been friendly and helpful. Shame on me for not collecting names. During my latest visit, I had a neat conversation with Anaya. If she’s an example of the quality of people you hire, your training, and the environment, you’re doing things right. Merlot was my cashier: she and the rest of your staff are friendly, professional, and make me feel at home.

We’ve visited Golden Corral Favorites in Southern Pines three times recently. Our first visit on September 12, 2025, was a great experience—friendly staff, good food, and everything served at the right temperature.
On our second visit, the food could have been warmer and the staff a bit more welcoming. By the third visit, the fish wasn’t quite cooked as thoroughly as it should have been. The staff was friendly on the third visit.
That said, this is a new location, and it seems like they’re still working out the kinks and getting into a good rhythm. We love Golden Corral, so we’ll definitely be back—just hoping to catch them on one of their better days!
