I didnt care for that shrimp dish featured in the video, but that’s my preference. Heard it was popular. I got a sampler dish that was cool, and 5$ frozen margaritas during happy hour.

Just went for the first time. We wanted to get Mexican at a sit down joint and figured they would have that small-town Mexican feel. They got buku comfort food and a full bar, and they keep the chips and salsa coming. I got the chile relleno, it’s a pablano pepper stuffed with cheese and beef, and breaded. Always wanted to try one but I don’t see them around town too often so that’s wassup. It was an ABSOLUTE hitter.

This place rules!! Man that Filette Cancun dish is so awesome!! It’s Grilled red snapper fillet topped with shrimp, pico de gallo, Monterey jack cheese and avocado. Filete a la mexicana!! Their Guacamole, the Ceviche, The Shrimp cocktail, everything was incredible here!! Fast and great service. This is definitely THE place to get great Mexican food in the Parish!!

Service was OK could’ve been better. I had a steak burrito it was mid at best. I’ve had better steak tacos there’s where cool. Wife said her steak quesadilla was pretty good. kind of expensive I’ve had similar meals at trucks for a lot less. probably won’t be going back was in the area so we stopped by killing time, but overall not a bad place.

I ordered the Paraaillada Fajitas for one (Beef, fajita chicken, Jumbo shrimp). Each protein was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The tortillas were fresh. It was served w all the toppings (fixins’) cooked onions and bell peppers, cheese, guac, lettuce, pico, beans, rice (I order double rice, no beans), etc. They included a lot of onion, which I appreciated.
The salsa and chips were tasty.
I heard the margaritas were excellent. I had the red sangria. Highly recommend!
The staff stayed busy. They are professional yet fun. Prices are reasonable. I hope this restaurant is successful.
I lived in TX and thought why is my family bringing me to a Mexican/ semi tex-max restaurant in Chalmette?! But I’m very glad they did. The fajitas were great, definitely not disappointed! Will be back.

I arrived with my family and placed our order within 10 minutes. People who arrived after we ordered were served their food first, and nobody on the staff could explain to me why it was taking 40 minutes to get our food. The restaurant only had 3 tables with customers, so it was not a busy day. We were not happy with the service.

Very authentic Mexican cuisine. The people were very friendly; service was prompt and the waitress was radiant and attentive. They had Spanish language music videos playing on the TV which only added to the authenticity of the experience. The food was magnificent! I cannot hype up the food enough. If you live in the area or are just visiting or passing through, I would highly recommend stopping here for a delicious meal in a great atmosphere!

If I could’ve left a lesser review, I would’ve. Ordered food through uber at 8:05PM. Food was apparently prepped and never marked as ready, food was delivered at 9:46PM ice cold. Inedible.

the absolute worst mexican restaurant ive ever ordered from, i spent 60$ and they gave me the wrong tacos, the chimichanga is salty and dry. and the queso is so hard my chips broke in it. never ordering again. and i cant even get a refund.
