Really nice place!! Cute and cozy, really nice service. Lucky to be there when they had the tea tasting. Amazing lunch menu! The tater tots are a must and you can’t go wrong with any of the teas!! We loved the Rasberry Mojito Hot tea and the Hot Chocolate Chai!

Stopped for lunch and tea. There aren’t too many places to sit especially when it’s busy, but we scored a small table inside by the counter. The food was freshly prepared and delicious (grilled lapsong cheese sandwich with tomato soup and a chicken salad on a croissant with chips), with a hot pot of tea. You get to pick any of their teas, to be served hot or cold. We picked up several teas in their gift shop. All the women working there were pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. I have purchased Harney & Sons teas online so I was excited to discover their tea house!

Ordered a pack of 4 herbal teas. Two had some flavor and were decent. Two, mango and peach, have absolutely no taste. Might as well just drink plain boiled water. Asked several other tea lovers to try them. Same response. Sent a message to company asking if maybe I had gotten a bad batch?? Ridiculous response from company about mailing them back with the packing slip. Who saves packing slips when you expect to enjoy a product that comes recommended? Money wasted, never buying from this company again.

An incredible experience and definitely worth the long drive. The staff members really know their stuff and there’s so much variety.

Normally when we come to the cafe we find a table and then one person goes up to order. We happened to have a large group so we were lucky enough to sit together by the window. One of the staff came up to us and took our order. I was very grateful to not have to order for everyone. The service was kind and moved as quickly as possible considering the large crowd that was in the cafe. The food was excellent.
I had the lavender lemonade and the Teagen sandwich. Of course we stopped at the store and picked up multiple teas which we look forward to tasting. We will back soon.

A lovely tea shop located in Millerton NY. Harney and Sons offers teas for sampling as well as all types of teas packaged whole as well as tea bags inside of decorative tins. Gift items are also readily available. Check out the website site for the hours in which the tea bar is open.

Tucked away in a small town on the CT/NY line is Harney Tea Company. They have been purveying fine teas since 1983. The a selection of teas is mind boggling. From black teas, green teas, delicate white teas, herbal teas and a wide selection of iced teas, if they do not have your favorite tea the it does not exist. We bought a Scottish morning tea and a cinnamon tea, which is one of my favorites. If you are not sure what you like they have a extremely knowledgeable staff as well as a tea tasting area.

I love the shop but I dread checking out. We are there multiple times a year for ourselves and additional trips with guests and family from out of area – it’s a joy to pick out teas and other items and then you get in line and although the staff knows their stuff, it is *painful* to interact with them. They suck the joy out of purchasing. A sales shop like that, the staff taking your money should at least fake interest and joy in your joy. It is like that *every* time. Most recent time, in additional to telling me with indifference they were out of a staple, I paid with Apple Pay and my contact info popped up automatically – staff asked for my email and I said “it looks all set – my contact info popped up here on the screen” – she was annoyed and told me “that’s weird” when I confirmed the email already displayed on the screen. I asked her why it was weird and she froze. You don’t tell people giving you money something that has happened is weird and subtly implying you’re odd. Say “oh, great – it makes check out even more pleasant when systems work!”. Not even a thank you from any of them. – just “do you want a bag?”. Uggh – I think every time maybe it will be better. It is not – it is consistently an energy suck – so marks for that consistency I suppose?

Small shop in the middle of the countryside. Sits on a bike route, as I saw a few bikers come in occasionally. Went in the summer time. Had their tea and bought some from their store front. Limited seating inside, but also has outside seating. Id come in the group if it isn’t too hot.

Merch Storefront staff were very friendly, and knowledgeable. I only had scones, iced tea, and hot tea. 5 star for their seemingly infinite selections of tea and their options. It’s like a tea lovers paradise. The benefit of going to this place rather than the store front is you can purchase $~3-5 samplers for the premium and super premium teas (without having to buy the whole tin). Tea tasting wasn’t available at the time, dunno if they do tea tastings.

Scones with cream and jam were delish. I’d go back and try the food. And more tea, obviously.

I’ve normally had good experiences at the cafe, but today I was charged $22 for the salad in the photo below. It doesn’t even fill 1/3 of the container…I live 15 minutes from the shop so I guess I’m stuck with this tiny meal. Not sure if it’s because I’m a to-go order or what, but this was an underwhelming trip.
