Visited here from out of town a few blocks from our hotel. We had a party of 8. Drinks were over poured, had to choke down, only ordered one per person. Put money in jute box, credits for 12 songs, after 3rd song, got kicked out because the bar tender (blonde girl, said her name was Jess, not sure if real name or not) got drunk behind bar and wasn’t able to perform her job. The young boy behind the bar had to close it down. Asked for our money back for music. He was unable to provide refund, but ended up taking money out of his own pocket to refund us.

First of all, I’m 24 years old. Bouncer ID’d me which, one made me feel good although I wasn’t allowed in. Honestly, after this I felt quite offended. Looking into the bar it’s obvious how many underage kids were in there. I just don’t understand how they deny me because I look young but am 24. I think it’s just ridiculous how these bouncers abuse their power. It was the bald guy with glasses, insecure . But in all seriousness avoid this bar unless you want your night ruined. McKeowns’s do better.

I’m not sure what was nastier – the bathrooms in this bar, or the attitude of the bartender with dirty blonde hair who was working last night. I was screamed at for adding one drink to the round I ordered last night because I wasn’t allowed to “back order.” Isn’t it easier to get six drinks on one tab? McKeowns should look to hire bartenders who have better customer service skills and a greater ability to handle the “pressure” of a six drink order. Bathrooms are a total mess and there was no soap. I will not be going back any time soon.

Love this place. Best bartenders especially Marie and Amber. It is not overcrowded before the late night hours when busiest and that’s what i like best mello, clean, many large tvs, large selection, music not to loud, plenty of open seats so you wont need to prairie hop or bring your drink to a back table, no local creepy drunks. Nice outdoor area blocked from the cold wind. Perfect for an after work drink, or before whatever your into i guess. No food here but that’s fine as there is food on every corner near by.

Good Irish pub. Bathrooms here are very open, no #2 or everyone else is waiting outside (or watching). Bud Lights were nearly 2x price at Nag’s Head on same night (Thursday) so that hit the wallet pretty good. Also, foosball table could keep score and it was a cash table.
