At our Canton, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Went through drive through and was asked what I wanted, just like that what do you want. Then sat in drive thru for 20 min. There was no cars in parking lot just me and vehicle in front of me. I ordered a Cajun catfish sandwich meal. The amount of fries I was given was the amount u would imagine would come in kids meal and there was way to much seasoning. It was like maybe they went to shake seasoning on fish and maybe the lid to shaker came off. The fish also wasn’t cooked completely. I was very disappointed in the service the portion of food and the food. I will never go back .

I was in the mood for a fish sandwich and decided to stop at this location. Ran through the drive-thru. I ordered the spicy giant fish sandwich, side of fries, and extra tarter sauce. This sandwich was massive. I do have a good spice tolerance, so this sandwich wasn’t spicy for me, but I could tell there was some spice. It was so big that I ended up taking off one of the pieces of fish, splitting it in half, and putting it on my sandwich. All and all, no complaints, good sandwich for the price.

Got the lobster roll and fries. Nothing about the lobster roll looked like the photo. The bun was toasted but hard and not warm. The lobster was shredded lobster pieces mixed with mayo. No large chunks like shown in the advertisement. A couple of pieces of shredded lettuce again nothing like the advertisement. The French fries were cold. The soda machine in the dining area was lacking carbonation. I asked the staff to fill it from a different machine and it was also flat. When I said this to her she made no comment and didn’t try to resolve the issue or offer a refund. 80% of my meal went in the trash. The music playing in the dining area was so full of static that it was quite unpleasant to hear. I always wondered why this restaurant never seems to have customers. Now I know!

Not what we were used to. Lobster topped grilled fish….. What a joke! The “lobster” was a burnt, mushy mess. My wife and I eat here about twice a month; over the last several years. I wanted to try something new. Mistake! The lobster is not lobster. Stick to improving your main staples.

Best fast food seafood hands down! Hush puppies are great, fish is beer batter style and the spicy is good as well. Been going here since I was a kid, 38 now, and has always been good. It always takes a minute to get your food, but that is because it’s always cooked fresh to order. I have never gotten cold food from this location, ever. The fact it’s been in the dead spot it sits in for as long as it has, is a testament to how great of a fast food joint, considering it has stayed open this long. The folks that work there are a little rough, but the service is always good, and the food for the money is great!

I love Captain D’s! But I am not going to be going back to this location again. My daughter and I have been eating Captain D’s together even before she was born! She is 18 now and it was the first time for each of us going alone.. She was in Texas for her Air Force Graduation! So that part is ok . I was here with my love at the hospital. I walked in with a great positive attitude and felt as if I was bothering the staff with another order. 3 front end girls immediately darted to the back as if it was a game to see which one had to deal with customers. The “unlucky front end cashier ” was just plain out rude. I really thought that we were having a decent short conversation while ordering my food (which is wonderful) to find out that she didn’t have any idea what I was doing there and didn’t even care . And just started singing to whatever was on.. I think all people are great and important.. not here. Needless to say I changed my order for togo and sat in my car trying to find a nice way to let them know how those little things made my great day not so great. So after I ate my dinner now totally alone in my car outside in a parking lot. I walked in with a smile and returned the sour broccoli… then thanked them politely and left. Maybe we can help each other out and just be polite and smile listen .. It helped me.
