Pretty good food in the selection I had. The prices were reasonable. I had a bit of a wait but in all fairness, the girl at the counter was by herself. There are many seafood items on the menu. Also typical southern food choices. It is not fine dining by any definition but good food reasonably priced. I like smaller places that are not part of a chain. This fits the bill. I probably would not make a special trip to get there but if I’m in the are I would eat there again.

Had the fish and it was cooked fresh and piping hot. They had the seasoned fries like I like and the fish were giant meaty pieces. Tartar sauce is very different and good. Giant fountain drinks. Inside looks a little dated, but I don’t really go based off looks. If you’re super picky about that, it’s not the place for you. Price was good also. A 2pc with fries was 6.99 and it was more than I could eat and I eat a lot

Never been disappointed, fast and good southern food for a good price. We usually doordash and the staff have called us before concerned that our food would get cold because our dasher was taking a while to get it. It’s nice to see staff who care. I always get their southern single burger because the pickles they put on it are so good. Their tartar sauce is also incredibly unique and tastes more like a burger sauce. 10/10

We took our meal to go as we went near the time they closed. The gal up front was absolutely slammed and a little flustered. Sweet, but clearly stressed. The fish was great, especially with their tartar sauce. I really enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and the jalapeno poppers, too. All of those items had good flavor and were cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was bland for me. Creamy, but no real flavor. And the chicken strips definitely were not my favorite. They weren’t bad, but they were bland after how tasty the fish and appetizers were.

Omg! Food was so delicious!!! I love how big the fried oysters were! The fried okra was good & the mac n cheese was super cheesy just like I like it! Me & my family definitely had a great time! The staff was nice.

What can I say? It’s Sam’s eatery! Great portions. Food is cooked fresh and hot. Actually visited this location on an out of town trip and have to say the portions were better than the one near me! May be why my local one keeps closing down and reopening…IDK…

I must have been in a different place than the rest of these reviewers referred to. I had the fish, shrimp, oyster combo, the shrimp was great, the fish was okay, but one of the oysters was bad. I spit it out but was apparently too late, and spent the rest of the night sick as a dog. A hole in the wall is one thing, but cleanliness is another, the place was nasty. The only reason I am rating with 2 stars is because the service was okay. However, I won’t be back.
