I recommend this one. Good local fried seafood. Order at the counter and sit down or takeouts. I ordered large fish & chips. It was around $17. Big plate way more chips than fish, coleslaw, tartar sauce. It was busy Friday night so I waited around 15 to 20 for my order.

The food was hot. The lobster roll filled with fresh tasty lobster that was perfectly cooked. Clam bellies tender and soft. Service was friendly and quick. This is the quintessential New Hampshire stop my father used to reminisce about. Definitely coming back!

The picture is the fries and cole slaw I threw in the trash. This was my go-to for fried seafood and recommended it to people traveling in the area. Sadly it appears they are under new owner/management. The batter they use still taste good but my order was mostly french fries, 5 shrimp and a small piece of haddock for $25. The cole slaw that I paid extra to get was mayonnaise with a little bit of cabbage. So basically a mouthful of mayo. Mayo is not an ingredient in coleslaw. I believe they lost their cook also. Going to find somewhere new to get my fried seafood.

Generous portions and really good batter! I usually only eat whole clams but their strips are so good I didn’t even mind! The haddock nuggets are perfect!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a chicken tender dinner with onion rings. This is exactly how I got it. My tenders are ripped apart. Like someone already tried eating it and sent it back. I’m very upset. Got fries instead of onion rings. On top of it all. It didn’t come in a container. The plate came in a paper bag. Food was not covered. Disappointed. Never took one bite. Went right in the trash.

I dont do reviews, but this experience was horrible. Ordered over 100 dollars worth of food only to be given what seemed like the small portions when we ordered larges. We were told 25 minutes for food and arrived after 30 we’re told another 20 minutes to wait.. Then we paid to have onion rings in one of our meals only to not get them. We drove all the way back to see if it could be resolved and the woman at the counter laughed like she was pulling one over on us, to what felt like reluctantly go get some from the kitchen. The food that we got was good, but service was very poor. Do not recommend take out from here. The locals in there seemed happy having to clean there own tables to sit down.

Have been going to Jimmy Jones for years. Was great when they were at their old location. Went to the new location and it was TERRIBLE. The fried whole belly clams I ordered had maybe 4 whole bellies. The rest were strips! The service was S.L.O.W.. They didn’t cook my partner’s fish all the way through and it had to be redone which took FOREVER! Not once was a “I’m sorry” said! Will NEVER go back! BE WARNED!

I have not had my fix of whole belly clams this season. Went to JJ Seafood Locker tonight. Ordered a large clam plate. Cost $43.95. Waited for order, and left to go home. Half way home I couldn’t help myself and started to eat the belly clams. They sure didn’t taste good. Tried another, ugh, pulled to side of road and pulled a few apart. They were chicken fingers. I tried calling restaurant, no answer. So I turned around and went back. I told young girl that took my order it was incorrect. She took bag, never looked in it and threw in bucket. She gave my order to a young man for him to redo. I also asked if he would not fry them as long. As they were hard and very crunchy. He never acknowledged me. So now I receive my order and get into my car. I had to taste a clam since I’ve been drooling a long time. It tasted like a clam but still dark in color and crunchy.
I saved my dinner til I got home. Took out plate and saw maybe 4 belly clams the rest were clam strips.
I am so disgusted, I took a picture of plate and receipt.
Do they mix the strips with clam bellies?? I think so……
Never ordering from them ever. AND I do plan on going to speak with manager or owner. And show picture.

Hearty portions for the hungry boy! You know you’re at the right fish place when there’s malt vinegar at every table. Staff was friendly and helpful. Chatted up the proud mom of the new owner, now 3 years in took it over from the original Jimmy Jones. Interior would benefit from a deep clean and a fresh coat of paint… Jimmy Jones won’t mind.
Onion rings were a hit, not too much batter (if that’s how you take it). Fish sandwich was a huge chunk on a fresh roll. Whole belly clams were a good portion, took remaining home, but could have had a few more whole bellies for my liking… that’s just who I am.
Worth the visit, and food was good and appropriately priced.

First, let me just say that the food was amazing some of the best fried seafood I’ve had in a long time and we thoroughly enjoyed it. But that’s where the positive experience ends. The younger girl working behind the counter with the long brown hair was exceptionally rude to us. We overheard her talking on the phone, telling her trash man that there was trash that needed to be picked up in my uncle mentioned to her that there was a pile of cigarette butts at the front door that also needed to be picked up. She literally told him she had some gloves if he wanted to go pick them up he should go for it. That’s not where the rudeness ended. I was ordering some chicken strips for my niece and she asked me if I wanted a small or large and I asked her how many strips came with the small and she said to me in a rude manner I don’t know. That was a super helpful answer. Then she answered the phone and was talking to someone else on the phone while she was taking her order and I got confused as to whether she was talking to me or the person on the phone and so I asked her a question and she said I’m not talking to you. again in a rude manner. My suggestion get your food to go, and even then the owner needs to consider replacing her. Bad for business.
