Really delicious Ethiopian meals at pretty affordable prices. The server was very helpful and gave my 7 year old a great recommendation for a smaller less spicy meal that she inhaled! I got the vegan combo and it was so flavorful. They also have good happy hour deals!

Tried it for the first time through Ethnosh Dayton. Loved it. Really excited to have delicious Jamaican and Ethiopian food in the same meal. Owners and staff are great people. Will definitely be back.

We had a lovely experience coming in for lunch on a cold Saturday. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and welcome. We stuck to the Ethiopian menu and were not disappointed, although we’ll be back to try the Jamaican food. The Nanyea Tibs was good enough that I didn’t even have leftovers to take home.

Nanyea Restaurant is incredible! My wife and I decided to stop here as part of our plan to eat food from all over the world, and let me tell you, it was well worth it! I personally had never tried Ethiopian food, and it is now one of my favorites. There was tons of flavor in every dish! I will be returning to try more very soon! Upon entering, we were greeted with a smile and seated quickly. The restaurant is very cozy and has cool decorations! The service was outstanding and everyone was working with a smile! I can’t wait to return! Nanyea is a must try for anyone wanting to expand their horizons!

A group of us wanted to try African food and found this nice Ethiopian restaurant. For those looking for flavor and heat, I definitely recommend it. It’s a nice locally owned restaurant, a little on the small size compared to franchise restaurants. I highly recommend reservations to ensure you get in when you want. The woman taking care of us didn’t consider herself a waitress but a runner. I’m not sure if this is a cultural thing, as she does the job of a waitress. She was also the only server, but as I said, it is a small dining room. Truly, the only downside is no ticket at the end of the meal. You go up to pay once you are done. Our bill was on point to our calculations.

Love this place! Absolutely amazing Ethiopian food right here in Dayton. I get the vegan platter and it comes with so many yummy dishes. The injera is delish.

The vegan combo is delicious. So much color, texture and taste. If you like Ethiopian food this place is it for the Dayton area. I can’t speak for the meat options but if you are a vegetarian or just love great ethnic foods Nanyeas is a must to try. Get the coffee served with incense. The 4 stars only for service and atmosphere is just that its a simple environment. We were taken care of and the music was quite appropriate. Nothing fancy needed though. The food is totally a hit. I would eat there weekly if it was closer.

What a fantastic place! Dayton is so fortunate to have a restaurant that serves authentic and delicious Ethiopian fare. The prices are excellent for the generous amount of food you get, and I appreciate all of the vegan options. It has been a long time since I’ve been surprised by a restaurant experience. Good food, good value, good service—this is definitely my new favorite.
