My friend and I visited on Wednesday for lunch. We were promptly seated. We shared the Fall Salad which was beautifully prepared, and served dressed. We also shared the Seafood Linguine. There was plenty of.seafood to share, and the pasta was perfectly al dente. The cream sauce was delicious and did not overpower the seafood flavor.
The wine menu included a nice selection. We shared some champagne and took home the bottle.
I also ordered the caramel apple spritzer as “dessert”. It was not as flavorful as I had hoped, tasting mainly of spritzer. The caramel, had it been mixed in, would have elevated the drink.
Would definitely return for another visit.
Margarita pizza was flat and old, not freshly made !
Gnocchi was with too many flavors and distractions
The only decent food were the salads…
• Melted Brie & Roasted Garlic – 3/5
• Burrata Pizza with Chicken – 4/5
• Walnut Pesto Linguine with Chicken – 2/5 (felt a bit bland; this was my first time trying this style at an Italian restaurant, so I’m not sure if that’s typical)
Overall, the food was good and seemed freshly made. The ambiance and freshness definitely stood out.
The fresh pasta really shines through and puts the dried stuff to shame. We loved both our pasta dishes, the Tagliatelle & Truffle Cream sauce and Pasta Primavera. I imagine it’s probably hard to go wrong with any of their pasta, on top of the fresh pasta, the seasonings and cooks were perfection.
For appetizers the Melted Brie & Roasted Garlic is to die for, and something I now definitely want to try myself at home. I do recommend they fully cut the bread served with it, the whole half cut “boat” thing was awkward to deal with. The Polenta Fries were also good, especially with the Calabrian Pepper Jelly, but we felt the fries themselves needed a little more salt.
And for dessert we were a little disappointed with the Olive Oil Pistachio Cake (still decent), but the Gelatos were top notch!
This place is now on our radar and I suspect we’ll be coming back soon.
