We came back to MD for a two day trip to attend a funeral in the area. I didn’t want complementary breakfast in the hotel, and we didn’t have a lot of time. This was a wonderful breakfast location and great for us! My husband is from the south and I am from Maryland, so you know I had to try the crab hash! He had a traditional breakfast and raved about the hash towns. The deviled eggs are deep fried and amazing! They just got their liquor license so be patient. This place is a yummy break-for-brunch spot! The manager was very welcoming helpful. She helped me choose the hash, delicately reminding me that I can get seafood pasta anywhere and to try something new. The honey butter biscuits are such a requirement that I got two orders to go! Freezing cold inside, made dining in very uncomfortable.
Lukewarm greeting from staff. They actually held the best seats. We are from Jersey, so we love going to black owned establishments. This was not the service we expected, though tolerable, just not warm and welcoming at all.
Food: 5 Star Taste!
Very very good food. The temperature was not HOT but warm, bc of the outer issues none of us sent our food back for reheating. The award winning dish was phenomenal, grits and shrimp
The chicken is served with a perfect crunch!
Our server was 2 weeks in and she’s outstanding!!
My meal for mee and my son was $80 with no appetizer.
Their special tea was served served just over 1/2 full at $7 with no free refills. We had to ask to have the glasses filled closer to a normal portion. I have a photo of my glass.

Enjoyed the most wonderful brunch with a friend at Milk and Honey today. Our waitress, Julia, was such a sweetheart: attentive, cheerful, and made sure we had everything we needed. Even the Owner/Manager (?) came over and checked on us.
I indulged in the French Toast (so soft and flavorful!), while my friend went for the Chicken & Biscoff Waffles. I stole a bite of the chicken, and it was delicious! Great food, great company, and great service. What more could you ask for.

Me and my boyfriend were visiting Washington and my sisters showed us this amazing restaurant! Kevin was PHENOMENAL! amazing service and so kind! The food was beyond my expectations. Everything we tried was beyond delicious, it was amazing. Erica was super friendly and helpful! Buttermilk biscuits came with sweet potato butter and peach jam and I could have eaten all of those things on their own. The shrimp and grits and salmon and grits were so good. The surprises were the deviled eggs and the candied yams. We love them both, but they were made different from how I’m used to and we’re just a revelation. I HIGHLY recommend Milk & Honey!

This morning (9/27/2025), I ordered the expensive Berries and Cream French Toast for pickup. Didn’t immediately eat it but when I did I was VERY disappointed!
I guess they figured you won’t flip the food over and check to make sure BOTH sides were nice and grilled to perfection….and they were correct. The top side was grilled to perfection however the bottom side (on BOTH pieces) was BLACK and BURNT and the $6 bacon was nice and HARD.
How can any “respectable” Chef send out food like this!
The prices are high and they feel comfortable sending out food like this! It’s because they don’t value YOU the “customer”; they only value the MONEY…… and we keep giving our money to these restaurants that could care less about US!
It’s been a while since I have ordered from Milk and Honey Woodmore Glenarden and with this latest situation, it’s gonna be another long while, if ever I visit again
RECOMMEND: Check BOTH sides of your food before leaving (ridiculous)
