Are you looking for a bite to eat while near Lake Michigan?

This restaurant is a good place to eat and get ice cream for a treat. Location in Algoma, walking distance from Lake Michigan. Grab a meal and view the lake front from the restaurant.

Despite the limited amount of parking, it is easy to access the restaurant just entering Algoma, just before going into the downtown.

Although the restaurant is small, the atmosphere is quiet with a decent amount of tables. The staff is friendly, service wait time was within a minute upon entering. Don’t pass up on this small restaurant, despite its location and size.

The food was delicious with every bite. Less than $20 a combo meal with a drink is affordable; for one person. Budget friendly meals, breakfast items and burgers on the menu, everyone can get something different. Save room to treat yourself to an ice cream.

This location does not have a restroom so plan accordingly. However, It is kid friendly.

Overall, not having a restroom, the quality of food and the friendly service is good place to eat and here and enjoy Lake Michigan out the restaurant window while dining.

I’d recommend this location for a bite to eat, treat yourself to an ice cream, and overlook Lake Michigan. Adding a bathroom would make it five stars, otherwise I’ll keep it at four out of five stars.

Small restaurant, with delicious food, and ice cream; overlooking Lake Michigan is a must when arriving in Algoma.

Food was excellent. Two kids for the mickey mouse pancakes, which were perfectly sized. One got the Alaskan waffle, which he ran up to our server and said, ” this was delicious!” I had the skillet, which also was perfectly sized. A lot of times when I get skillets, they are 2.5x bigger than they need to be. I finished this one was perfectly satisfied.

TEN STARS!

Last time we ate here was about seven years ago. Time flies and it’s still just as good as our first visit. Bacon made crisp to perfection upon our request. Meatlover skillet, pancakes, eggs, and toast all perfect!

Service kept a close eye on my coffee even though it got busy. Best view of the lake with cozy old school atmosphere the way it should be!

Thank you!

I got biscuits and gravy with hash browns and a scrambled egg. Unfortunately my food was cold and bland. My husband got the country omelette and enjoyed it. The price and portions were reasonable. The speed of service was quick. The staff weren’t super friendly and chatty, but not rude either. The tabletops were unique as they were pictures of produce. I had a nice view of Lake Michigan across the street.

Great food and view. Friday night and 1 waitress. Service was slow but good. Several got up and walked out due to not being waited on after 20 mins. Heads up *****CASH ONLY**** they have an ATM inside but we couldn’t get connected to get cash. Luckily another member with us had enough cash to cover us as well. CASH ONLY!!

We had a good breakfast here. The service was good.

The food was typical diner quality. The coffee was very mediocre.

The prices were fair. Cash only.

Small, cheap, easy spot for a bite to eat. There was nothing overly unique about this place. It was like going into a friend’s kitchen for some food.
The staff were nice and welcoming and the food was to the point. No bells. No whistles. Just food.

We stopped for ice cream. The ice cream is kemps and the portions a great bang for your buck. I recommend walking across to the park to enjoy. We went with waffle cones for our boys since it was an 85* day and a large “container” for melting factor. That said the ice cream was really cold and hard when we started so it was able to be enjoyed.

Eggs over easy, steak, white gravy, wheat bread…good old-fashioned and appreciated comfort food in Algoma, WI. Easy walking distance of just about anywhere…beach, fishing piers, etc. Recommended!

Good breakfast. Good service. Cool little old school style diner with floats shakes and cedar crest ice cream. Reasonable prices. This will be a recurring spot on my fishing endeavors.
