I stopped by The Works Café to grab coffee before heading out to ski, and it was honestly the best decision! ☕️❄️ The food was super fresh and flavorful, exactly what I needed for energy on the mountain. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and everything felt made-to-order and high quality. Cozy atmosphere and great service. I’ll definitely be back before my next ski day!

We found this little cafe/sandwich/coffee house in Manchester on Main Street, coming back from Stratton ski resort. What a gem! We ordered bagels and sandwiches and smoothies. It was sooo flipping delicious. I got the bagels and lox. It was so big I thought they gave me a double! The chicken sandwich my grandson got was huge and delicious, he could not finish it. He had to take a break! The smoothies were absolutely the best. It tasted so fresh. I noticed on the walls were pictures of their local vendors. They support the local farmers. Maybe that’s why their food was so delicious! Definitely, I will be stopping by there again.

I’ve been coming here for MANY years and would always say this bagel shop is worthy of a 5 star review in the past. About two weeks ago I stopped in at 7 a.m. and ordered two bagels and a self serve drink. One person was in line ahead of us. 45 minutes later we still hadn’t received our food and neither had anyone else including a lady who ordered the day before to pick up at 7 which was now also an hour late. The shop was now filling up, small orders of food were coming out unbelievably slowly and everyone was very very low on patience. We waited in silence. When our two bagels came out, I politely asked if I could have a cup for the coffee. The employee rudely told me I should have already gotten one from the other cashier (I obviously didn’t). The coffee was cold and the cup leaked from the bottom all over me in the car so I had to throw it out because we were now late and couldn’t wait again for an hour to be handed another cup. As I said, I’ve come to this shop for decades and I’ve never has this experience here before. These employees and service reflect very poorly and uncharacteristically on this shop. I should mention these did not appear to be the regular employees on this day. They were very inefficient and rude to the customers which is NOT typical of this establishment.

Really glad I stopped at The Works Cafe. I got the lemonade, mac and cheese, and the Cape Cod chicken salad sandwich. All three hit the spot. The sandwich had that perfect savory with a little sweet thing going on with cranberries and greens, and the bread was solid. Mac was creamy and comforting. The lemonade was super refreshing.
The vibe was relaxed and cozy. I sat by the window with a leafy view and a quiet creek running alongside the building. It added something really peaceful. Staff was friendly, service was quick. Would definitely go back.

The folks working here are the nicest! Almost too nice! While I was there a teenager with her dad ordered a latte, upon receiving said ordered latte she starts to whisper with concern to her dad, there is some back and forth, the dad then says “I will just get you another”, they return to the register, dad says to cashier “she wanted an ice latte”, chasier says “so sorry I thought you just said latte”, dad says “she did say latte, she forgot to say iced, I will buy her a new one”, cashier says “no problem, you don’t have to pay for it, I will just make it”. Wowow just too nice for a teenagers mistake.

I’m leaving this review immediately after finishing my smoked salmon bagel. It was sooo good. I’ve never had lox before and I figured no better place to try than New England while I’m visiting for a few days. The guy behind the register was very nice, he helped me with a bagel recommendation since they were out of the usual bagel (it was late in the afternoon). The service was quick and price was reasonable! If I ever come back to VT I’ll definitely go here again!

Went to use the bathroom at 9am after eating in. Look at the toilet bowl, does not look like it was cleaned for a long time!
If the front facing bathroom is this dirty, makes me think about overall cleanliness.

One of the best breakfast spots in Manchester. We got to eat here on our last day in Manchester and it was just amazing. The service was quick and its worth the price. I highly recommend this place to all. Grilled chicken Egg sandwich and Sunrise Burrito is what we ordered.
