Wonderful time at Dorsey’s in the historic downtown of Cedarburg, WI. I was searching for a lunch spot with not just the same old burger and fries. This spot checks all the boxes and has an area dedicated to pre-made take home meals and a front counter full of desserts.
The cafe has a nice selection of cold sandwiches, burgers, wraps, salads etc along with a full line of coffee, lattes, mochas and more. Dorsey’s serves alcoholic beverages too. The vintage looking bar in the center of the room is a great touch.
We ordered the chicken salad sandwich and tuna salad sandwich and asked for both of them to be on wraps. We chose pasta salad and Korean BBQ beef soup as our sides. It was tough to pass up the homemade potato chips though.
Then, of course we had to take home some desserts: triple chocolate brownie, lemon tort, a fancy sounding bread pudding, and this amazing looking peanut butter and chocolate item. Lastly we grabbed an oven-ready tray of BBQ meatballs. It was a tough call between that and the vegetable lasagna.
Service was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Incredibly warm, friendly & delicious! We came in on a cold afternoon for soup, ended up ordering full dinner items and blown away by how delicious everything was! I got the sea scallops almondine & my husband had the pork masala (which was the special). Both were served over risotto. I couldn’t recommend this more highly. I only wished we had room for dessert, but the servings were so generous it looks like we’ll have to come back!
It’s somewhat casual – but don’t let that fool you into thinking you aren’t getting an exceptional dinner.
Very friendly, served fast, lots of seating. And the town of Cedarburg is like something dreamt up by Norman Rockwell!

Visiting from sunny Florida, we took the 5 minute walk in sultry weather to experience the ambience and excellence of Dorsey’s. The staff was genuine, the food amazing (we ordered the Polpette meatballs and Ragu with beef and house marinara), and the dessert was so attractive we had to take three to go.

My new Fave! Not sure how I didn’t know this place was here but excited to finally go in. Very different in a good way. This is a coffee shop, bar, resteraunt and sells pre made take and bake meals. How cool is that. We had our first lunch here and loved it so much we brought our husband back for dinner. Food was outstanding (made with love) and the coolest part is you seat yourself. Walk up and order when ready.They bring your food to your table, then pay your bill at your leisure. Doesn’t get any better than that! Staff was extremely friendly!!!! Can’t wait to return.

Had the grilled chicken pesto on foccacia. Perfection. The coleslaw was fresh and fluffy, not soggy. The broccoli cheddar soup was delicious.

Door County Cherry Old Fashioned is fabulous! John makes the best soups anywhere so the Clam Chowder so delicious! I had the Chicken Florentine and my husband had the Bourbon Apple Pork- both wonderful! Lots to take away. Relaxed but upbeat atmosphere. Highly recommend!

My husband and I came here for Valentine’s Day and it was so amazing! From the moment we arrived to when we left we had an incredibly time! The food was INCREDIBLE!!! Some of the best in the area! Will definitely be back:) and the cherry on top was how friendly and great the staff were!

My husband and I dined here on a Thursday evening. We had some pretty delicious martinis– kudos to the bartender! My husband had the pork ramen special and I had the salmon. Both entrees were absolutely delicious. The Ramon broth was a perfect combo of salty and tangy and the pork was super tender. My salmon was cooked just right and the accompanied parsnips and carrots were an excellent side. We will definitely come here often. Thanks Dorsey’s for a wonderful experience!
