I recently received a tip from a CT Bites reader that good Pho was to be had in Bridgeport at a small mom & pop restaurant called Pho Saigon.

This place is a little gem. They were very sweet and the place was cozy and had a nice energy. The food was clean and delicious. I would go back if I were in the area again . We started with a limonada that was so fresh and delicious . Then we split a bahn mi sandwich which I have had before somewhere else and did not like. This one was so fresh and flavorful and really good with crisp vegetables and soft fresh bread. I had a seafood pho with white noodles that came with tofu and scallions. They presented us with a plate of lime and sprouts and basil to garnish the soup.

I am an avid Pho fan! I look for good Pho, wherever I go. I say that to say, this place is the best Pho spot in CT, period. Yes, it’s not super pretty or on the best side of town, but it’s authentic. It’s a hole in the wall kind of place and she is the only place that never raised her prices through inflation or covid. It used to be $7.50 a longggg time ago, she only raised it to $9.00 and she still gives the most out of all the other places I’ve been. I’m telling you, if you want an authentic bowl of Pho, here is where you must go!

A very good Pho! I guess the broth is like a northern style which is more clean and simple but deep and flavorful. The texture of the thin noodles is very good. Their noodles and toppings are southern style but the broth is kind of northern style.
The staffs are very kind. Especially the grandpa’s smile makes customers happy. The restaurant is very clean.

Authentic Vietnamese spot! This does the job, good prices. I’ve had better vegetarian broth but I don’t blame them. Pho is originally with beef broth. I do wish it had tofu in it. Going here is like going to eat pho at your auntys house it’s so cute. Their cha gio is really good.

This place is so good and I am so happy I live in Trumbull not too far from this gem. I have Travel recently to south east Asia, spitting a month in Vietnam, traveling all over Vietnam, expected to find Pho better than here only because Vietnam it’s the birthplace and I just assume that I would just find fabulous places that make Pho. Pho seems to be more popular in Ho Chi Minh as opposed to other parts of Vietnam so we were able to find decent pho places some open 24 hours but every time we had a bowl( had about 15 different ones) Pho all over Vietnam, nothing came as close to this place here.

Don’t let the simple surroundings fool you this place is amazing. Do you enjoy large bowls of soup, steaming with goodness and fresh herbs? What about noodles plenty of those here too. The number 31 might be one of the most perfect dishes for under $9 I’ve ever had. Sweet and sour sauce over noodles, roast pork, shrimp, chopped lettuce, diced spring rolls with a sprinkle of peanuts over the top. Not to be outdone the number one mixed beef soup is also my go-to order. I am not ashamed to admit that I order both meals everytime I visit. Every Time. One number one plus a number 31 as my appetizer with a Thai bubble tea. All together costs me less than $20. That’s a bargain for this much happiness.
