We had the pad Thai, a curry and some chicken skewers as appetizer. The satay chicken was very tasty. The pad Thai had a raw garlic taste (?), the noodles felt overcooked and it was very sweet. The curry was even sweeter (and I think there was a $3 dollar surcharge for the rice…). The portions seemed small considering the price.

My husband and I ordered the pad Thai and the house special coconut curry plus a shrimp salad roll for the starter and the banana roti for the dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed the curry (ordered level 1 spice, could have done a 2) and loved that it was a creamy and had a bit of sweetness to it. The broccoli and cashews were really good with it. The pad Thai (ordered level 1 spice) was a bit spicier than the curry, but it was good for us! Great flavor, chewy noodles. We ate all the curry (and side order of rice), and we left with a small box of the pad Thai. The dessert was warm and sweet and crispy, yum! Would definitely come back here again.

Amazing restaurant with authentic Thai that truly moves one’s palate and heart. It is a well-known local establishment and has been serving the Capital Hill community for over thirty years. The food is well-sourced and super fresh, which makes a noticeable difference. The staff is very welcoming and attentive, and the bartender is super friendly with remarkable skills and knowledge about various drinks. You should definitely ask him for an improvised cocktail. My favorite is the delightfully inventive “King’s Crop-Top.”

We had a really bad experience here unfortunately. The $22 pad thai tasted more like chow mein with chunks of tamarind—it tasted like it was made with soy sauce? The pictures don’t really communicate it, but it was very strange. And the portions were very small for the price. $22 for a tiny bowl of curry and it doesn’t even come with rice? The prices are shameful—if they were more reasonable I probably wouldn’t have left this review but yeah you can’t be charging this much and having the food be this bad…

Pretty decent Thai place in Pike Street with ample seating. Dropped in to grab quick dinner with a friend and we ordered Pad Kee Mau and their house special noodles. Pad Kee Mau tasted so good, House noodles weren’t that great.
I’d like to give it another try sometime to check out other dishes.

Not sure what happened to Ayutthaya, but I can’t recommend this restaurant any more. This was my go-to recommendation for Thai for years in Seattle.
Sometime in the last year they must have changed ownership or kitchen staff, because the last few times I’ve gone I get a strange spaghetti-like consistency to the noodles in my pad thai, and agree with another recent reviewer that it tastes like it was made with soy sauce.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the area! They give you a huge serving for the price and the servers are very friendly and welcoming. This has been my go to place for years.

The food was awesome. The atmosphere was also great. The staff was so kind and humorous. We ordered Som tam, Tom yum soup and Green curry to be most hot and they met our expectations. I love here!

My go to place for over a decade… not anymore!!
Classic example of a great restaurant changing hands and ruining the whole experience!!
The earlier host and waiter (Chris) were very warm and welcoming. The new host and wait staff don’t deserve this restaurant. Not only has the food experience gotten worse — the restaurant is just not friendly anymore!!
The sad part is — this place survived Covid and changed ownership recently ruining the legacy of Ayuthayya!

I personally love the food, the crab ragoon, phad Thai, is so good, great serving sizes, always a perfect tempature and taste is delicious, it’s in a cozy little side with a cool bar, good environment and nice staff, I would recommend coming here if you haven’t and enjoy the food and also take out is worth it as well!
