First time here and I loved it! The place looks great and is well-designed. The food is awesome and fresh.
You have to try the Salmon Oshi. It’s so good and unique – you can’t get it anywhere else.
The staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu.
It’s also a perfect place for a birthday or any other special occasion.
This is now one of my favorite restaurants in Winnipeg. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the sushi and then passion fruit tea drink. Service is a bit underwhelming. Not many people and we didn’t really get greeted until a cook noticed us. Food was decent quality and the drink was good. There are defined better sushi places in the city but if you want to have a snack this place is pretty good.

Great sushi and cozy vibes
My wife and I stopped by this sushi spot recently and were pleasantly surprised. The sushi was fresh, flavourful, and there was a solid variety to choose from — everything we tried was on point.
One thing we really appreciated was the printed menu. In a world full of QR codes and phones at the table, it was nice to flip through a real menu without having to pull out a device. It made the whole experience feel more relaxed and personal.
Service was friendly, the place was clean, and we left happy. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into good sushi and a chill atmosphere.

Yuu Izakaya – a fine Japanese restaurant
It’s been some time since I went to yuu Izakaya and had a really good experience. I tried their chicken karaage ramen, I really liked it. Had rich broth with a lot of toppings a perfect blend of the two. I also tried their eel onigiri it was really good started to begin with. Everything was really fresh. Ended with their nigiris, smoked salmon and pink tuna, fish was really fresh and really good. All in all it was a really good experience and a must visit for japanese cuisine lovers.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The fish was melt-in-your-mouth fresh, and you could taste the quality and care in every bite. From the perfectly seasoned rice to the delicate balance of flavors in each roll, nothing felt rushed or generic. I’ve been to Japan, and I can confidently say this is the most authentic sushi I’ve had in Canada. The salmon sashimi was delicious and clean, and the nigiri was expertly prepared — not overly fussy, just traditional and done right. Even garnishes were fresh and thoughtfully made. And don’t skip dessert the deep-fried cheesecake was out of this world! Crispy on the outside, warm and creamy on the inside. A perfect sweet ending to a flawless meal.
This place has officially ruined other sushi spots for me, I’ll only be coming here from now on. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates high-quality, genuine Japanese sushi.

Service was not great. When we got our bill, we were told that they were training someone new but I found that more an excuse. I would’ve been more sympathetic had they said something at the beginning. We sat on the side closer to the washrooms. When the servers look, they tend to pay more attention to the other half of the restaurant as the sushi bar/food comes up on that side. Sometimes it’s hard to flag someone down as they are not even looking that way. They did not clear dishes off the table readily. Some things looked dirty like the table and dishware.
Two miso soups came for our meal set and the soups were barely lukewarm. Rest of the food took a long time to come out. Chicken karrage was more like chicken balls with a heavier batter than at most izakayas. Same with the kalamari. Sushi rolls were more on a lower quality side with weird choice ingredients for some specialty rolls like lettuce as filler. We were offered a choice of ice cream and then for the server to come back with two ice creams saying, “only vanilla.” Vanilla was not any one of the choices selected. It took a long time to refill hot water for tea as they had to wait for the kettle to boil. Why would a restaurant not have an on demand hot water dispenser ?
Parking isn’t too bad but getting out depending on which direction you want to go might be a pain as it’s busy intersection on the NE corner at Regent.
It wasn’t just the service. Food didn’t live up to expectations either. I do not recommend.

I placed the order online through the restaurant’s website on the 23rd for pickup at 5:00/5:15 pm on the 24th. When I arrived at 5:00 I was expecting a bit of a wait, but my order was ready to go. I was in and out of the restaurant in less than 5 minutes.
The food was excellent. Portion sizes were good and the tastes were very good. The sashimi was very fresh. All the rolls and nigiri we ordered was also very good. We had made a request to withhold the cucumber from the Crunchy Roll, which was doneand appreciated.
I only gave the atmosphere a 3/5 because I was only in the restaurant for a few minutes, but it seemed good.
We will be back!

Oooo their tonkatsu ramen was amazing! I could drink the broth! I want moreeee!!! Had sushi here before too which is ok but they should really expand on the ramen! Best ramen in the area for sure and what a great price! I will be back to try more! Thank you! P.s those booths are hard to sit in since there is no padded backing but I’ll suck it up for the soup! Hahha 🙁

The best sushi I’ve tried in Winnipeg so far. Always delicious, and the sashimi is unbelievably fresh. I usually order for pickup on my way home, and every time my order has been ready right on time or even a bit earlier, so I never have to wait. Prices are pretty reasonable. Definitely worth trying!!
