Poor customers service. The lady rushes you for a pick up order. I dot understand why because the restaurant is so small. Maybe 10 tables. She gets overwhelmed and her attitude is bad. I will not be treated like my order doesn’t matter. I tried to place the order over the phone and she basically hung up in my face saying “I’m busy”. So I go up there and try to place the order and very politely asked why did she hang up in my face and she repeated “I’m busy”. And just blew me off.
The customers dining in looked at me and felt sorry for how rude she was. I will it go back there:

GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY, I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! So, My husband and I decided to get out of the house and try this new restaurant. We were greeted with a friendly smile as soon as we walked in. Seated and greeted quickly by the server. She was very quick bringing drinks and cheese dip back. Then my husband(has been sick for a few days) started to not feel well, so I went to the register and apologized while asking if I could change our order from dine in to carry out. The staff was very understanding and accommodating. The food was done super fast. I couldn’t wait to get home to try it. When I tell you it was absolutely DELICIOUS, I mean it. We will definitely be back as soon as my husband gets to feeling better!

The meals and menu look so amazing and enticing. I ordered the street taco, my favorite food but they wasn’t quite what i expected. A bit dry. I was in town visiting and was hungry. If i end up in the neighborhood again I shall return and try something else on the menu. Nice friendly people.

Amazing Mexican restaurant! The service was speedy and she made sure we had everything we needed. The food was so good and the drinks were too. Very clean and nicely decorated, clean bathrooms, and low prices. Absolutely would recommend!

When I lived in DeSoto County, the location on Hwy 305 in Cockrum was my favorite Mexican restaurant. When I moved to Sardis, I was so happy there was another location right around the corner from my house. The food is excellent.

Food was good but the margaritas were not strong. For the price you pay for a margarita u can not taste the alcohol. People will continue to go elsewhere if they expect to taste a good drink. For the price the drinks should be good and strong.

There chips are the thin ones and are wonderful. I had the pineapple and steak tacos and the shrimp cocktail. They were wonderful. Definitely a return destination.

Absolutely love El Tejocote! Food has great flavor, employees are friendly and professional. Alcoholic beverages are perfectly mixed! Great place and kid friendly!
