This is a clubhouse restaurant at a golf course. While I do write reviews as a hobby, I don’t just hand out 5 star reviews without any thought. I also don’t have any affiliation with VB National golf course or The Pig Shop Bar & Grill. Now, I always try to manage my expectations when eating anywhere and my decision to eat at a golf course was no different. We were at VB National for a round of golf, we were hungry, and our tee time wasn’t for another 45 minutes. So, it was an easy decision to slide over and grab a quick bite. I won’t speak for anyone else in my party, but I think they would agree with me when I say that I was pleasantly surprised!
The menu for The Pig Shop Bar & Grill was way more than I expected. The options were great no matter if you wanted a meal or just a snack. I actually had a hard time deciding what to get because they had a lot of good sounding offerings. The Bar Tender/Server was friendly and had a great attitude. She took excellent care of our table..No, we hadn’t been drinking. Lol! We decided to get some lumpia as an appetizer and I got a grilled chicken club and fries for my main meal. The ingredients seemed fresh and it was all well prepared. The other meals looked equally excellent! I’ll be going back the next time I play.
I definitely recommend it and VB National if you’re in the area and looking for good place to play golf and want to grab a quick, convenient, and great tasting meal or even just a snack.

Please don’t order from here. They forgot things I ordered. My sides and dessert. The Mac and cheese was sour. The brisket was 90 percent fat. Awful food. I feel sick already. The person answering the phone is rude. Why does it all taste like vinegar!!??

Absolutely horrible. Greasy grey brisket, ribs were dry, & the most god awful mac & cheese I’ve ever tasted. How does Mac & cheese taste like vinegar??!!!! The cinnamon apple is just apple sauce with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Hushpuppies were decent though. Definitely do NOT recommend, we all got sick after eating this.

Order from Uber eats. May have something to do with my experience as the brisket was dry like it had been sitting out for awhile, but the flavor was good. The potato salad was good and the baked beans. Wish my pulled pork had come with sauce, maybe that’s something I was supposed to ask for. The ribs were tough. The collards are very unusual, taste like they use some sort of apple pie spice in them. Not a fan. Coleslaw was overwhelmingly sweet. Overall not horrible, but I’m pretty serious about my bbq so definitely not the best.

Ordered through UberEats and the food was sooooo good! Omg’sh! The ribs were sauced just right and absolutely tender. The potato salad was definitely homemade (I’m going to need that more often!) Being that it was a take out order, I anticipated the food to not be that warm, but it was! For the price, portion and deliciousness, I will guarantee repeat business from me! I highly recommend!

Pulled pork needed some spice and vinegar. Ribs were fine and the sides were good. But what I’m leaving a review for us the brisket. Dry, grey, flavorless (almost) soft jerky. I say almost flavorless because there is a strong taste of lighter fluid in the aftertaste.

Ordered on Uber eats. I got the baby back ribs with coleslaw and corn bread. The food was cold, the the ribs hardly had any sauce or flavor for that matter. Sides were okay. Menu and bag smelt like bug spray.

I ordered a large bbq sandwich. Disgusting. It wasn’t meat. It was more like a meat paste. Tasted rotten. Zero bbq bbq sauce on the sandwich at all. Bone dry. I asked for some to be sent extra. Not any to be found in the order. I hope they used to be better before Covid ruined everything.
