Saints & Scholars is a locally owned Irish pub celebrating the monks of Ireland, the saints and scholars who shaped the country’s history and may have even created whiskey. Our décor is sourced directly from Ireland, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere. We put our own spin on Irish favorites, using local produce and grass-fed meats whenever possible. With more than 100 Irish whiskeys, over 80 unique gins, and 16 draft beers, there is always something new to explore. Come settle in by the fireplace with an Irish coffee and enjoy a cozy space that is welcoming to all. We always have something on! The sausage rolls were great, and the gravy it comes with was fantastic. The breakfast potatoes were delicious too!
However the fried chicken benedict wasn’t enjoyable whatsoever – the chicken was a gray color, very dry, and stringy. We were turned off as soon as we saw the plate come out, but decided to give it a try anyway. My friend had to spit her bite back into her napkin, and the rest of the meal went to waste.
We also got the Shepard’s pie which we were very excited for, but the spice blend was so overpowering, it’s all I could smell/taste. I took a couple bites and decided to not finish it.
I started my culinary pilgrimage with an Irish Coffee — except plot twist — it was hot/cold! A perfect love story between creamy, boozy, and bold coffee notes.
Then came the Fish & Chips — light, crisp, and golden perfection. The cod? Immaculate. The fries (sorry, chips) were thick, warm, and comforting — especially with a drizzle of malt vinegar and a squeeze of grilled lemon .
And let’s not forget the green mushy peas — controversial, I know. But hear me out. These weren’t your grandma’s peas — they had hints of mint, a little mystery spice (thyme, maybe?), and just enough kick to make you raise an eyebrow in delight.
Then, oh my god — the sausage rolls. These amazing bundles of joy came out shiny, golden-brown, and unapologetically perfect. Paired with a whole grain mustard that says “I’m being healthy” and an oniony gravy that says “no you’re not.” I don’t even like gravy, but this one? I’d drink it through a straw. Okay maybe not… gravy is still growing on me.
The cherry on top? The owners — a husband and wife duo who came out to greet me after hearing I drove 50 minutes just to eat here. Humble, warm, and full of heart. They told me about how they opened in 2022 after a two-year remodel — and you can taste that love for what they do in every bite. ❤️
Let’s not forget the amazing Nina, who went above and beyond.
So if you’re anywhere near Snohomish (or even if you’re not but you love good Irish-English comfort food), do yourself a favor and visit Saints & Scholars.
Final rating: 12/10. Worth every mile, every calorie, and every second of the drive. ✨
We came in tonight right at dinner time and they were packed! The customer service really was above and beyond with this girl, we never needed to ask for anything.
She had a full section on a busy night, was running her own food and drinks, was helping other employees and we even saw her behind the bar at one point, making drinks for her tables. She smiled the entire time and was even cracking jokes with us.
(I’m a bar manager myself and know how hard it is to find great people like this to work with you.)
The food was delicious and portions are definitely big, so bring your appetite and they have plenty of beers on tap, wines to choose from and tasty cocktails to keep your thirst at bay. ❤️
We will be back soon and hopefully sat in Nina’s section again.
Thanks S&S!
We walked here from our hotel—it was super close and open late, which was perfect. The vibe was great, with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and fun décor. They seem to have some kind of deal or event every day of the week, which adds to the charm.
It’s not the cheapest spot, but the food was absolutely worth it. The shrimp appetizer was delicious, my corned beef sandwich with sweet potato fries was fantastic (and even good as leftovers), and my boyfriend devoured his mac and cheese entrée. Drinks were great too—I really enjoyed my local cider, and he loved his beer (a rotating option I can’t remember the name of).
Overall, a fun and delicious stop—we’d definitely come back!
My wife got the TIPPERARY TROTTER MAC which was full of flavor with the Busker BBQ pulled pork, crispy prosciutto, and Three cheese mornay, I couldn’t stop stealing bites of it. I ordered the CORNED BEEF SANDWICH which was amazing. They brine the brisket for 10 days which gives it such a juicy succulent taste and then they add pepperoncini kraut, and Swiss cheese then they slap all this goodness between toasted pieces of thick sourdough bread, which elevates this sandwich to a whole new level. I highly recommend this place, between the ambience, service, and delicious food you definitely will not be disappointed.
Zack did a super job, had complicated drink and food orders input correctly and took great care of us. Food was stellar too! Thank you!!
