We tried this place on a Sunday afternoon. The salsa was good, chips were fresh, and food selections were enjoyed. The refried beans have a nice smokey-chili flavor. Ask for the house-made hot sauce! We ordered off the lunch menu, but they also offered Mexican and American breakfast selections during our visit.

I cannot say enough great things about this place!! We frequently come here for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The atmosphere is amazing, servers are more like family and the food is the best around!! The tacos and chimichangas are top notch, Steak night never disappoints but the breakfast is my favorite of all time.

We were just passing through the city and my wife ordered takeout. The food was hot, but it looked nothing like the photos.
Honestly, it was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever tried. My plate was $14 and the enchilada was about the size of a street taco, while the two flautas were about the size of mozzarella sticks. Between everything, there probably wasn’t even 3 ounces of chicken, and that’s being generous.
The rice and beans were nothing special, and the tortilla soup was basically a cumin broth with nothing in it. Charging $6.50 for that felt like a rip-off, especially with an extra $1 “administration fee.” After this experience, I honestly question whether some of these reviews are real.

Great spot. Make sure to ask for the husband’s secret spicy sauce — it’s not on the menu but it takes everything up a notch (Very, very spicy). Dip the southwestern chicken eggrolls in the sauce and pour some ranch on it, it’s so peak

We were truly impressed with all of the food we ordered. We tried a little of everything. Spaghetti special, street tacos, southwestern egg rolls, happy plate, rice, beans, chips and salsa…. not one thing I would change about any of it. I did add guacamole to my street tacos but that’s just my preference. We will probably have this more often than we should. Great job yall!!!! Oh and the price was under 50 bucks for all of this food! Excellent prices to boot!

Food was AMAZING, Service was so good, I was fixing to bag my to go order and the waitress took it from me and did it for me, and still made time to say thank you while on the phone, atmosphere was quiet with people and but loud with happiness.
Best dining experience I’ve had in pearl river.

My family recently dined here for our son’s homecoming crew pre-dinner meal. I had never heard about this place before and I had low expectations going in, but the food was just really REALLY good, and I left very surprised. The menu is not super large which was refreshing because at typical Mexican restaurants the menus seem as long as a Cheesecake Factory menu and gives me analysis paralysis. I ended up deciding on the “Tacoberia” tacos (I think?) which are your typical iberia-style tacos but BETTER. The plate was comprised of crispy fried corn tortilla shells filled with juicy and tender slow roasted beef with fresh red onion and cilantro topping served alongside the tastiest and most savory consommé au jus I’ve ever had the privilege of enjoying. Let’s not forget the refried beans, which I’ve never really liked ANYWHERE, but THIS was actually delicious for the first time ever! I was so surprised, and I nearly licked my plate clean. The service was good. Our waitress was friendly and made repeated stops by our tables to see if we needed anything and kept our drinks filled. The wait time on the food was a bit longer than I anticipated for what seemed like a slow night (there appeared to only be about 3 other tables occupied) but if waiting an extra 10-15 minutes or so is the cost for a meal THAT good and freshly made then I’ll gladly pay it over and over again (to be fair though, our party comprised 12 people, so the additional wait time was probably due to them trying to bring everyone’s meal out at once). The restaurant is not very large, probably 10-12 tables or so, and there are several TVs hung. Our table was placed right in front of a TV playing a college football game. The volume was a tad bit loud and made it difficult to hear our conversation sometimes, but it wasn’t so bad that it warranted me asking to have it turned down (and maybe I was just having sensory overload). Anyways, I have to believe that I will be a returning customer soon to this gem. My compliments to the chefs!

I visited Torito Grill expecting standard Mexican food. But, I was thoroughly impressed!! I tried one of the specials, Jamaican Chicken, and boy was it delicious!! The chicken was perfectly cooked ~ juicy and tender, and the veggies were very fresh! I ordered the steamed veggies as a side ~ they were fresh, not frozen/watery/bland. They were fresh and tasted simply amazing! I also ordered the guac salad and it was fabulous as well. The salsa was on point!
That was the first time I have had such fresh food at a Mexican restaurant
I will defintely be going back! . Probably for dinner tonight lol
