I’ve worked in the food service industry and fully understand that sometimes mistakes happen. Normally it’s no big deal and the store just refunds your money. That didn’t happen today.
The employee that answered the phone was hostile from the beginning. They acted like me calling for a refund was a huge inconvenience to them. They looked up my order and first tried to say that I got my item. I had to insist that they didn’t give me what I paid for. Then the employee finally agreed that they missed the item, but only gave me the option to either drive to the store to pick up the item (which completely defeats the purpose of me paying a delivery fee to have the food delivered), or a store credit. They refused to refund my money because they claimed it wasn’t possible to refund a single item.
After I insisted they refund my card the employee set the phone down to talk to another employee. At that point they called me a bunch of derogatory names and said they were just going to hang up on me. Then the employee picked up the phone and said they refunded me. I asked for their name and they immediately hung up the phone. This is a completely unacceptable way to treat a customer.
If the managers of the store see this, the employee sounded like they were new because they didn’t know how to operate the system and had an effeminate voice. You should probably look into this as I doubt I’m the only customer that is receiving terrible service from them.
To the extremely rude employee, you should probably make sure that you put the phone on hold or at least walk away before running your mouth about a customer.
Needless to say, I won’t be ordering from this store anytime in the near future. There are plenty of other pizza places in town that actually want the business and provide good customer service.
The most unsanitary experience I’ve ever had at a pizza chain. Morgan – the “manager” was unwilling to help and hung up on me initially. She eventually voided out my order but this is completely unacceptable. I’ll be contacting corporate over this one.
