This has been my go-to shop for broasted chicken. Quaint little hole-in-the-wall place for good quality, fresh food. I have not yet had any negative experiences with their chicken, apart from maybe the occasional soggy bits on the otherwise crispy skin, but that could be attributed to the chicken steaming inside of the box during the car ride home, so it is best eaten as quickly as can be devoured to experience max deliciousness and freshness. I have been ordering take-out from them for several years and hopefully will continue ordering from them for several more years to come.

Chicken Inn is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Debby is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing broasted chicken. Must come back. 10/10.

Our last order, our delivery driver got lost and ended up in a far away suburb, and told us he would be another half hour away. We were concerned that the food would be cold. Driver called the store and said it would take at least an hour. We were very sad and canceled the order after waiting was told we would get $40 off on the next order. This is a tiny storefront in a tiny strip center with a tiny parking lot offering to go orders only. The two piece dark was a good price but they have a surcharge. I hate surcharges. Just be honest with your price upfront without adding fees to the back end.
The staff was okay, not overly friendly but not rude either. Pretty common Chicago attitudes.
Their chicken is good but it was cold like it had been sitting under a heat lamp that wasn’t working.. I was suspicious by how quickly they handed me my order, so I know it wasn’t cooked to order. Their potatoes were cold and not that great, definitely sitting out for a while. The slaw was pretty much just cabbage, mayo, and vinegar.
Southerners know that sometimes the gas station on the corner has the best fried chicken and the best tater logs in town. Once you leave the south the quality drops though. This reminds me of food from a yankee gas station.

I went in 5 minutes early to pick up my order and waited a few minutes until it was ready.
When I got home less than 10 minutes later, I found the chicken was way overcooked. It was totally dry all the way through and I had to throw half the chicken away because it was not edible.
I doubt I will go back there again

When I called the guy on the phone seemed like he was going through the motions, warmed up a little while taking my order, but that should have been my red flag in not going… Overall just OK. This place is a little over hyped up to be honest. I see ” best in the city reviews “, I see ” best around”, etc.. Stop yourself!! It’s just OK. It is quick?yes, small place, maybe can fit 7 people comfortably in the waiting area, chicken has decent flavor but not nearly the best in the city. Grease what oozing through my fingers as I ate it. That’s not a bad thing all the time, but not for this place. Will I return? Maybe. Will I go out of my way? NO. Will I recommend? You know the answer to that.
