I stopped into this little breakfast-and-lunch spot today, and wow—what a find! The moment you walk in, you feel that cozy, welcoming vibe that only truly local places have. The staff is friendly, quick, and genuinely happy to see you, which already puts it a step above the usual grab-and-go cafés.
But the real highlight today? The hamburgers Juicy, perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and stacked with fresh toppings. You can taste the care in every bite. It’s the kind of burger that makes you pause mid-conversation and just appreciate what’s happening.
Our server Jennifer was terrific extremely professional kind and courteous service was on point and the owner Dave even stopped by to make sure everything was great..
This place is proof that small restaurants still do food with heart.
Highly recommend! ✨
Please note I have never been here before. I wanted to grab a to-go order (in which I ordered two omelets & a breakfast sandwich). I came in with high expectations, left with dissatisfaction. They don’t mention over the phone they were cash only. I never carry cash on me so when | got to the restaurant, I asked if I could pay with Apple Pay and they said it’s cash only.
I mentioned I didn’t have cash and they said it’s on their door. I said I have never been here before and I couldn’t have known! So they said they have an ATM.
At that point I didn’t want to spend fees on taking out cash from their ATM.
Not only is their food overpriced, but I left feeling distraught, as their staff (which I understand are busy) were also very rude.
You can’t just assume everybody is a “regular” especially with pick-up orders. It’s a great location, but I wouldn’t be back here if that’s how they normally treat their customers and operate their business.
Update 2025:
What an awesome experience it was again!
Stopped by one this beautiful spot, as we did many times but this time we sat inside. And, again, the freshest eggs, clean food, great coffee, but also LOVED the wall art. I can’t wait to stop by next week, just so I can count the owls!!! Thank you so much to our waitress and the cooks, it is refreshing to enjoy a clean, tasty, and homemade breakfast.
After coffee on the beach and then a cortado at Deke’s around the corner, it was time for a proper breakfast. I stopped at Green Owl and after a very short wait, was brought to a table and provided a menu. A few minutes later, a waitress took my order.
Less than ten minutes later a plate with two fried eggs, two sausage patties and toast. As ordered and a tasty meal, it’s clear that they want to turn over tables here. While you’re not rushed, you’re also not encouraged to dawdle. Which is fine and they’re not pushy about it.
This was an inexpensive breakfast on a Saturday morning. Just remember to have the cash. They have an (expensive) ATM in the back.
